We intially put our property on the market with GP when we saw a property we liked on the market with them in late July 2013. After viewing the property we promtly booked a valuation with yourselves on our property and it went on with immediate effect in order that we could secure the one we wanted with yourselves. The viewings were all accompamied by Barry in Basingstoke and after only two days we had an offer 3 thousand away from the asking price which we accepted. We then proceeded to start negotiations on the property we wanted through you. Things at this point unravelled a little, as we put in the offer on the property we wanted it became clear the vendor wanted close to the asking price which we felt was too much as the property was in need of lots of work. I feel that GP mis-understood and thought that the more they achieved for our property the more we would increase our offer on the one we wanted but it was not a case of affordability but offering what we thought that the property was worth. It was at the point that GP tried to get our purchasers to increase their offer on our property in the hope that we would then inturn increase our offer. They said that there were other viewings and one of the other potential buyers were prepared to go to the asking price on our property, in the end this forced our puchasers to increase their first offer up to the asking price. In the end we still offered only what we thought that the property was worth and this was not enough. Several months went by and we finally secured another property through another agent. Our buyers held on all the time. On the whole I would say that the buyers that GP found were excellent and the sales progression was very good Lizzie kept us informed at all times and pushed to get things through as quickly as possible.
