I was extremely unhappy with the service i recieved while renting a flat under this agent. I had to leave my flat due to bullying and harrasment within my building, i cried myself to sleep most nights and did not even stay in my own home majority of the time. I cried to Northwood about this and expressed my upset and how uncomfortable i was in my own home. Northwood did nothing and said to me 'She's very hostile so it will be easier for us to write her a letter' I then went on to explain that i will not be renewing after the 6months as i did not feel comfortable and wanted out. Northwood then said 'I'm sorry that you feel you can't stay but there is not much we can do'. I complained to Northwood in total 3times, in which northwood did nothing, yet I recieved loud noise complaints logged by Northwood stating that loud music was playing in the early hours on the weekend although I was at work when this accured (I work in a bar at night). During these conversations with the agent I let them know of a new contact number. After telling them of this new number 3 times they still did not take the time to write it down or take note, They then went on to phoning my place of work to ask for my contact number, i found this VERY unprofessional. I also found it very unprofessional that my neighbour knew about my places of work and lifestyle due to Northwood disclosing this, this is a breech of data protection and is private, personal information in which they had no right disclosing without my permission, They told my neighbour where i work full time and where i work part time.
When also living in this building i found a lot of faults in which i made the agents aware of, after being told twice in 6months that someone would be in contact to fix these faults, they still have not been fixed. I am now in the process of moving out and have recieved a harsh toned letter stating that any damages or areas in which need fixing i will be liable to pay for, even though i had made them aware these faults where already there.
I am disgusted with their service and will never be using these agents again, I am so happy that i am not renting from them anymore and if anyone can avoid using them, It is best.
What agent could do to change your mind?
If the agent would have acted in a more professional manor or if the agents would have taken my complaint more seriously i would of reconsidered.
