My recent experience with Hayward Fox was marred by consistent communication failures and a noticeable lack of professionalism.
Attempting to reach them was a frustrating, with calls and emails routinely ignored or met with vague responses. This lack of responsiveness left me feeling undervalued as a customer which led to me and my family finding an alternative property through another agent. We paid a holding deposit for a rental property on the Friday, had no communication for 1 week and after chasing several times for a contract agreement, we had no option but to find an alternative property with another agent - of course, Simon who we barely heard from now refuses to return our holding deposit... they are scammers. DO NOT USE!
Overall, the experience was needlessly stressful and disappointing.
In summary, I cannot recommend Hayward Fox based on my experience. Their communication shortcomings and lack of professionalism make them an unreliable choice for real estate services. Use an alternative if possible.

Really disappointed with Simon from Hayward Fox we found a property we loved and was so keen. We even offered to pay more money £100 a month more (He never told the landlord) for the property we loved that much. He said the reason we didn’t get it over another very young couple was because I was self employed. I feel very insulted that I’m nearly 30 and can’t rent a property with you. I have rented 5 properties in the past and one was double the amount and passed all checks without a problem - I’ve never missed a payment. Simon fed the information back to the landlord. We currently rent a property £125 more expensive a month and we have good references. This didn’t matter apparently!! I don’t see how being self employed is a valid excuse it’s completely unacceptable. If he had asked I would of paid the year upfront without an issue. I bet the other couple couldn’t do this - bet they couldn’t pay two months. Very angry and very upset considering in the current pandemic it’s extremely hard to get a property. I felt like Simon had made his decision even before talking to the landlord and influencing him.
From Simons performance I don’t feel there is any support for tenants who are self employed and feel as a company you are prioritising people who are employed, tenants aren’t on equal terms.
I own three businesses and feel we’ve been overlooked. My partner has a good job too.
So I’m asking Hayward Fox Estate Agents to rent a property with Hayward fox and to stand a chance getting past Simon I would have to get a full time job and put my businesses on hold??? Then you’d be happy that I could afford some rent? Because I’d be earning a tonne less which would therefore be less likely to be able to afford it? Surely that’s more risky as a respectable estate agents?
Anyway I look forward to your reply!

I have lived in the area privately renting for 5 years. One of your members of staff in the rental department is *. She makes sure I never am able to rent a property. She always says they are gone even when they have just come up. I've had my friend call hours later and they are all of a sudden available. She pretends to be professional but she constantly lies to me, about property's been unavailable or over booked viewings. I've been telling your company about this issue and you have not done anything. Your company has a big problem with discrimination that no one cares to resolve.
