It was a new build purchase. No sales brochure available. No information available what so ever. So we had many questions to ensure what was included in the sale, when contacting the agent he became increasingly impatient with the constant queries. We wanted details in writing and not just verbal over the phone. This seemed to be an inconvenience for the agent. If you had a sales brochure a lot of the queries would not need to be addressed. We travelled from Somerset all the way to cumnock to view the site, and were ready to reserve the plot. The reservation form sent was so archaic, it was a template with the plot details and purchase price written in hand. No expected completion date stated. So we sent it to our solicitor who had a couple of questions considering the very large reservation fee which was non returnable. When we then went back to the agent with the solicitors request we were told "no it's fine someone else will reserve the plot tomorrow" so even though we really wanted to reserve this he had made the decision we could not have it. Everything we requested should have been provided as part of the sellers legal responsibility and not through verbal and text communications. I wonder if Oakhouse have ever sold new build before. If they continue in this vein they wont be selling them for very long. Appalling conduct.
