I have only just discovered this website and was shocked to read such a scathing review.

The Biggin Hill branch prides itself on doing the very best for it's customers and every effort is made to provide an excellent service and avoid any reason for a complaint.

This issue was not raised to me personally and I feel offended something like this is allowed to remain on a website about my office.

The young person that showed the property was new to the company but had been sufficiently trained on viewings and I apologise if he did not know the answers to the questions but these could have been easily raised over the telephone or at the office after the viewing.

English law states that we must submit all offers to the vendor and cannot be blamed for another offer being placed, especially when the viewing took place before an offer was agreed.

I can ony suggest if you disagree with the house buying process, you raise this with your local MP.

We do not divulge other peoples offers, anymore than we would divulge your offer, otherwise this can turn into an auction.

Anyone reading the above that has any concerns, I would recommend talks to me and I will explain how we work which is completely Professionally and ethically.

Quick Sale required! Odd that an agent would suggest this when the vendor has not found so it is obvious the vendors told agent to advertise it so because there is no mention of it being "offered chain free/with vacant posession"?

So the vendor has to find and you know full well yourself that it is difficult to find the perfect property that suits your every need--but can you blame the agent? Is it their fault or is it the vendors?

When I look to buy a property I can tell myself if it has gas. Check the hob on the stove and radiators plus boiler as this is normally a good indication. The lack of sunshine in this country does make it difficult to know which way any garden faces so I always look at a map(normally supplied with details or a floorplan as they normally show compass points.

If you live somewhere you normally know which way garden faces--if you dont,then you dont.
As for the cooker,unless built in they are always part of the negotiation.

Why would any business in the business of selling anything sell something twice? It does not make sense.

It is obvious the vendor told the agent to keep marketing to try and get more money whilst they tried to find another property because they probably discovered that they needed more to get the house they were after.

Any agent would be hung drawn and quatered by you if they readily told other purchasers what offer you had made--hence the agent could not tell you what the other person offered. It was up to you to decide what the property was worth to you as a maximum.

There is no case for misrepresntation here as it is obvious the agent has followed the owners instructions. It is a bitter pill to swallow but it has happened to you, me and inumerable other people. If we had the same rules as scotland this would not happen but a lot of people still lose money there also by forking out for surveys prior to submitting their sealed bid with no guarantee of securing the property. The same has happened to you but in a reverse fashion. Buyer beware is the governing factor in this country so best you stop blaming people for the fact you lost out to someone who was willing to pay more than you. In essence it is your fault because you had the option to do so.

What innovative technology is this refering too?? A telephone! Sounds like a load of rubbish with no real backup, or thought, just another cheap comment...
