We began the sale process over two years ago and Nick came out to give us a valuation of our property. He was very professional and informative. The price seemed high at the time & after no viewings, we were asked to consider lowering the price. We felt it would of been better to value it realistically from the start, to avoid getting our expectations high, as being asked to drop the price so soon, was a little disappointing. We ended up having to take our house off the market, due to my husband being made redundant. At the start of 2020, we put it back on the market and had a few viewings, then lockdown hit. Once estate agents opened again, Mosley Jarman organised a lot of viewings and then we received two offers on the same day, which we were delighted about. We accepted an offer and proceeded to find a property and begin the sale process. This started in July and by August we thought we were nearly there, all the communication suggested our buyers were waiting on us and the pressure was felt. However, we suddenly lost our buyer, as they lost theirs. This was a massive shock, as we were under the impression that they were cash buyers, so when we found out they couldn't get a mortgage, we were really confused. It was a very stressful time, as I was heavily pregnant. We were very pleased and impressed that Mosley Jarmin managed to find us several viewings in the same week and a new buyer, which meant we were able to keep our new property. The whole process has been very difficult and stressful, but it could not of been helped, although at times, we did feel a little bit like we were in the dark about what was going on. It's taken 6 months in total, but 3 days before our mortgage offer expired, we completed! We were given less than 2 days to find a removal company and pack up! We are however, very happy in our new home and we appreciate all the time and effort that Lauren and her team have put in to get us here.
