They have demonstrated on multiple occasions their absolute lack of care for my property or my business.
Most months I have had to chase my invoices.
When there is an issue they take weeks to resolve.
They have never (to my knowledge) visited my property to check on its maintenance despite me paying for a fully managed service, and despite me raising concerns that the tenant was not adequately cleaning / caring for the property.
Now the tenant has vacated, and the property has been left in a unclean state with personal effects left behind, utility and council tax bills not paid for their duration of their rental period.
They are constantly advocating for the tenant - as with other reviewers - you have to wonder who is paying them for their service - because they clearly feel that the landlord paying for their 'managed service' is not their primary concern.
They have also provided legally incorrect advice (on when the deposit needs to be released) - something basic like this is unforgiveable.
My advice to anyone looking to find a letting agent is to avoid this company at all costs.
By far my worst experience of letting agents.

Moved into a property in September and wanted to write this as a warning for potential tenants looking for properties with this company. We made an offer on the property and were pressured to pay the money there and then before even discussing it with the landlord. It took days for them to confirm whether the landlord had accepted us on the property yet we were being hounded for information and had to supply the same information again and again. The manager was patronising when one of us rang and asked basic information about what would be left in the property, we viewed when tenants still lived there so never fully got to see what we may or may not need at move in. Rema sent a tenancy again a couple of days before move in because of all the admin errors throughout. This was then disregarded because we could not all sign it just like that. There was a lot of misorganisation from Hunters as we were asked to do things instantly. As individuals who worked full time this was incredibly unrealistic. A lot of personal info requested such as bank statements from everyone despite referencing covering income and right to rent already been supplied. Right to rent seemed to be requested from guarantors despite them being uk based. Awful process throughout. Would not recommend anyone get a property of them as the move in will be farcical.

John was repeatedly rude to us throughout the year that we rented a flat through Hunters. His replies to our polite enquiries were either blunt or passive aggressive. As a property professional myself, I would never send the kind of emails that John did to paying tenants, ranging from offensive to downright patronising. I have never had to deal with someone being so rude to me when I am the one paying for their services. He obviously does not enjoy doing the job, or feels he is above lettings.
To give an example, we were promised a wardrobe, as stated specifically in our tenancy agreement. When this did not come with the property (bedroom two had no drawers or wardrobe), John demanded 'buy one yourselves' â telling us 'I've told you the solution. Take it when you leave. Simple as that.' This went on for months, during which we received gems such as âyou can get a wardrobe for less than it costs for a meal for twoâ. As we intend on living in furnished flats for the foreseeable period buying our own wardrobe was not a good option for us. This went on for months, during which we had to keep our belongings in suitcases. Not what you expect when you are paying £1350 per month.
When we left the property, we were wrongly accused of breaking the door handle. When we asked for proof, we never received it, and as a result our deposit was halved. We cleaned the property from top to bottom yet John emailed us saying â I have been in the business a long time and in my view it was disgustingly filthy, but I do have high standardsâ. This sentence is not only immensely rude but implies that we were living in squalor and have âlow standardsâ which is certainly not the case. If a professional clean was required that is all he needed to say, although I suspect Hunters order every flat to be professionally cleaned as they obviously have a contract with the cleaning company. He also accused us of stealing items from the property, then took over a month to get our deposit back to us.
We were incredibly surprised to discover John's senior position at the agents given his unprofessional attitude and manner â he is undoubtedly giving Hunters a bad reputation. We dealt with several other employees at Hunters Camberwell who were all polite and a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, due to John's shocking behaviour, we will definitely not be using Hunters again.

Very unprofessional company! A part from the ludicrous, soon to be banned fees they charge - £180 for inventory when house is unfurnished and empty. But most importantly do not care about clients, when viewing property with Sarah V, she kept on telling us that if we did not want it someone else would. We were making comments on broken cooker, broken window and windows that did not open and made us feel as if we were asking for the whole world. Not exactly high standards we were expecting. After negotiating and being accepted for the property, we received an email saying that we could not have it anymore. this was after we had given notice to our current Landlords that we were vacating in 2 weeks. They really don't care, and will saddle you with illegal fees. KEEP AWAY!

Shockingly incompetent service. We have had the misfortune to be renting through this absolutely terrible branch for the past year - their director, is especially terrible at customer service and it clearly reflects on Hunters as to how they put someone so rude in their senior management. When organising our check out on a Saturday afternoon, our inventory company didn't even show up and we waited an hour in the house, receiving no explanation from Hunters. When we complained, he belittled the complaint and told us to get some perspective. Our experience with Hunters, has ensured I (and I'll make sure my network) will never be using Hunters again. I highly discourage you from doing so too.

Disappointed in this agent throughout the tennancy; had several problems when our boiler burst which took over 2 weeks to be replaced leaving us without hot water and then a further month for the floor to be replaced, which when done was done cheaply and by contractors who smoked in the property, the flooring is now coming up in several areas meaning doors don't shut and there is a definite tripping hazard, it has been four months since original complaint RE new flooring and still no one has even assessed the situation. Having handed in our notice to leave the property the agents have wasted no time in arranging viewings that do not fit with my shift pattern and giving only 8 hours notice. All members of staff with whom I have had contact have promised to call me back and never have and itis clear that not only do they not care about the tenants but if I was a landlord I would not be using this company either due to the shoddy and untimely repairs resulting in further costly jobs requiring attention.
