Oh dear, I dont even know where to start.
We signed the agreement end of June to move in one month later. We stipulated several times in the email correspondences that we wanted to come in to see which furniture and items we wanted to keep and which to toss. The day of the move in happened, and we never received a response to our queries (the agent went on holiday without telling us and the new woman taking over, was all in all very unreasionable). When we moved in, we were then told that we had not specified in the contract, which items to get rid of (we specifically wrote in the contract: to be specified later – hence why we needed access to the flat prior to moving in – and this request was accepted by the agent). It was a hassle to get the woman to cooperate and she kept saying we hadn't agreed on this (numerous emails/contract were not enough proof (I bet some contract lawyers would disagree)). Ah well!!! After several unpleasant calls, we finally managed to get the approval of moving the items and have the larger items removed by a company. But boy oh boy that was a struggle and time consuming.
After having moved in properly a vast majority of the things listed in the contract hadn't been fixed ie. Heating was broke, cabinets broken, extractor fan broken, windows dirty etc etc. And we even had to throw out 6 large boxes of CRAP – which the agency said was at our expense. Items included: old shoes, belts, broken kitchen units, bondage kit (WOOOOH.. What a surprise), filthy storage room with empty shoe boxes, broken fans, blood stained linen, dirty old pillows and blankets and numerous other fairly disgusting items.
We have now asked quite a few times, when we can expect to have fans, toilet flush, extractor fan, broken cabinets, heating etc fixed and we are still awaiting a reply to this. It has been 7 business days since we moved in, so I do hope it gets sorted soon and the agency improves. I really didnt think having these items binned prior to moving in was a huge ask.
All in all, TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I wouldn't recommend.
