Filey estate agent was an awful experience. As I am an ex estate agent negotiator for foxtons and kfh I expected them to be on point with their work. They took ages to respond back to my calls and queries. The letting manager and negotiator Harun and Macjit was in reliable and not helpful. Very dodgy estate agent as they instructed a dodgy landlord who last minute pulled out of our agreement a week from moving with disgusting family issue excuse. Harun emailed me instead of going out of there way to fight and help give us an alternative they knew what they was doing as they knew this landlord was a criminal did not want to pay TA and go to someone where you he money! Why instruct a landlord and waste applicants time! Don’t go to filey agent in stoke new ingrown they are CONS!!!!

They left us living in appalling conditions and never once helped us to make the house liveable, doing quite the opposite and saying it was fine. The bathroom was like a scene from a horror film, the kitchen was broken but yet because we were desperate and worked in London they used this to their advantage. They made endless mistakes, one including a months rent/deposit mix up and after we all finally moved out and they realised their mistake, they demanded the money straight away and blackmailed us by saying they were going to take us to court. It was their mistake and they were threatening us constantly to the point that the only way we could pay was through a payment plan - which I still believe wasn't legal. They used the fact we were young women to their advantage and it wasn't until my dad called them up to explain the effect this was having on us that they backed off. I don't write reviews often but if I can prevent another innocent person renting or buying a house with this estate agent, I will. Take my advice DO NOT GO WITH FILEY PROPERTIES, ESPECIALLY STOKE NEWINGTON.

There is NOTHING professional about them and I'm sure someone will respond to this message with more lies to cover up what they're doing, like the robots they are. Even if they have he cheapest flat and it seems like a bargain - DO NOT USE THEM.

Calling Filey's can be upmost frustrating. Got booked for Edmonton letting property but the agent showing us the property was very rude & had no idea about the property. When a lady from his background appeared he was overly friendly and even completed a translating service for her. He didn't even know we were gone. Second viewing they cancelled 5 minutes before the appointment time, wasting a journey and half day taken from work. Booked another viewing, this time I ran 5 minutes late, I called them and sent a text, but they couldn't wait 5 minutes. They called him to come back, he said he'll be at the property in 5, but came 15 minutes later, telling me to hurry up as he has somewhere else to be. Wasn't in the property for 5 minutes, he kept telling me to hurry up. Same man from the first viewing. Very poor service. Gone to another well deserved agent with my money. Hope this bad service doesn't lead them to bankruptcy

They won't pay the full amount of rent into my account saying it's for maintenance but do not show me any form of receipt or what they are done to my proprieties * If u have sense stay well away from them. All your going to get is headache from this company.
From the management to the staff they are worthless and do not have a clue on how to manage a estate agency.
Guys stay away**. I wish I checked the reviews before I decided to give my property's for them to handle my tenants, I've got more headache then before.
I know I keep repeating but honestly stay well clear***

I hate to say it because I read these two reviews previous to mine but decided to rent with this agents anyway. Don't do it. I hate to say it because I read these two reviews previous to mine but decided to rent with this agents anyway. Don't do it. They treat tenants like a commodity, we've had on going problems which have taken ages of badgering the agency to sort out and they just go away and do nothing. Just terrible service I can't even begin to describe it but please don't do what I do and ignore the reviews, these agents are cowboys who take the money from tenants and then don't care what they have to put up with. There service is serving landlords and landlords only meanwhile tenants are abused and neglected and it's sick.

Fileys took me to court for possession of their rented property, as the landlord now wanted to sell the property after two years.
Unfortunately for Filey Properties, the Judge threw the case out and said their tenancy documents were not reflective of the tenancy deposit scheme. So, the section 21 which Filey Properties was trying to serve upon me was void. They had to go back and serve a correct eviction order.
But guess what, they didn't do that and the landlord and his crew came with a van to move me out along with all my belongings, with promises to assist me, but sadly Filey Properties and the landlord did not fulfil their promises Properties showed me 2 properties, but none were suitable for myself and daughter. so they left me in the lurch, I am currently homeless with a ten year old daughter and know that I am entitled to compensation from Filey Properties for avoiding the Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
I have since written 'an action before court letter' and no doubt, they will pretend they haven't received my registered letter.

When they handed us over the key, they didnt even come into the flat with us, they handed it to us in front of the door and left. We had a million issues while living there, some of them being the heating not working, no hot water, a clogged bathtub and a broken window. All of these issues weren't resolved over weeks and weeks. We finally had enough and left the property early.
