We bought our first rental property in 2002 and have since added 4 more. They are all let and managed by Oaks. Over the past 10 years, we have always been impressed by how smoothly they run everything. The accounts department works like clockwork and on the odd occasion when a tenant has been late with the rent, this has been flagged up and dealt with promptly. We also appreciate the way that Mr Milsom builds up a relationship with the tenants - this seems to smooth the way for tenants to report any problems with the properties which means that, say, a small leak is dealt with quickly - the tenant is happy and we are too, as costs are kept down. But without doubt, the aspect we find the most valuable is that when a maintenance issue or something like a faulty boiler arises, Mr Milsom explains the problem and offers us a choice of solutions and costings at the same time - he's usually already arranged for a contractor(s) to visit the house. It is therefore very quick and easy for us to make a decision and Mr Milsom makes all the arrangements with the contractor and we don't have to get involved at all. Every single contractor (be it a tree surgeon, plumber, glazier, builder or decorator) he has recommended has been excellent and a good price. So much so, two of them have done work on our own home. Mr Milsom also managed a big conversion/refurbishment project on one of the properties and everything went to schedule and came in exactly on budget - no small feat. In summary, were we to buy another house or flat, we would only have it managed by Oaks, particularly Mr Milsom, as they take away all the pain of owning a rental property.

I have been a tenant for a few years now and up till now been very happy! Since oaks have become part of 'leaders' the management team are very unfriendly and not very helpful! Oaks have obviously not vetted the tenant as they said they would and now have just left it to me, the customer, to pick up the pieces...and the bill.

I also dealt with Mia Watkins.
I chose Oaks as I had previou sly been a tenant, and found them an excellent company to deal with in all areas of property management from a tenant's perspective. My recent experience of them with me being a (first time) landlord has also been excellent. From the first contact, through appraising my property, advising me of requirements, advertising the rental, accompanying prospective tenants on viewings, dealing with the matters relating to a successful let to tenants, including vetting and drawing up the tenancy agreement; I was completely satisfied.
I left the country before the tenants moved in, and Oaks handled everything in my absence, including organising required maintenance tasks, a new tenant clean, and appropriate meter readings.
In conclusion, I only recommend a person or business when I know them to be sound: and I have no hesitation in recommending Oaks property to both landlords and tenants.

I have recently completed renting a property through Oaks in Epsom. They have been a pleasure to work with through out. They were helpful in finding the property originally when other agencies had been less so, and had plenty of choice. They took time to explain and characteristics of the property and arrange timely viewings. When selected the process to move in was smooth, easy and fast. In my particular case there was some delay in being able to sign up pending sale of a property. Oaks liaised with the landlord to ensure if at all possible I did not loose the opportunity. They were at all times understanding and supportive. Similarly when moving out the process was easy, smooth and facilitated by Oaks. At all ties they have been in ready communication and always willing to answer what must have been obvious or simple question with a smile. All in all a fantastic team who I would, and will, recommend to anyone seeking success in finding a place to live and having a calm smooth experience and enjoyable experience.

i called the agency after i went to get advice so i could look into renting the property, i was told i would receive a call back asap. i still haven't heard or been emailed any response, i feel that have been singled out as i inquired about housing benefit, i am a working single mother and i am desperately looking for a property for me and my son, when i told Laurence i wouldn't be able to get a reference from my previous landlord he then took a very unwelcoming tone with me and it seemed like he couldn't wait to get me out of the property. i have my fingers crossed on this property as it would be perfect and affordable from my side. im extremely unhappy with the service i received and its put a new look on my options as i am obviously going to be treated the same every where i go purely because of my situation.

Have been dealing with this agency for many years and up til around a year ago the standard has slipped.
There have been a few staff leaving and that seems to be the problem. No one seems to know what the other is doing which had caused lots of mix ups, the management is just not up to the old standard, no proper notes made on the regular inspections which lets the landlord and the tenant down.
Also be very careful how you have the end of tenancy clean done, it is best to let their own cleaners do it as I know that they are con artists here, if you use your own one and they say its not up to standard they will just charge you again for another total clean even if its only very minor issues. Double check the inventory on check in as they are missing out quite major things and then you will have no come back at end of tenancy. I have spoken to other people that have dealt with this agency and these issues are very common.

Oaks property sold this property for me after previously acting as agent for letting for 2 years. Not only did they quickly find a prospective buyer at a reasonable commission, they were particularly helpful in expediting the completion. For example, they assisted me with a considerable number of the pre-sale enquiries raised by the buyer's solicitors. This was particularly helpful as I was abroad for a month following the offer, and without their assistance would have needed to significantly deferred completion. Highly recommended.

Both Mia and Georgia at The Oaks in Epsom have been so helpful with everything to do with our move. We had had a really bad experience and had to move out of where we were living within 10 days of moving in, with little to no help from the agent that we had previously moved with. We needed somewhere to live, and quickly. We saw Lawrence Suttonwood at a property first and he told us about an other property that was available that he thought would suit myself and my partner much better, needless to say we fell in love with the place and decided to go ahead straight away and as quickly as possible. Both Gerogia and Mia did everything they could to make sure we moved as quickly and smoothly as permitted and everytime we called to speak to them they sounded upbeat and ready to help. We moved into our property this morning to find a bottle of champagne and a welcome card from The Oaks which we thought was such a nice touch. They turned a disaster into something great and both James and I can't wait to settle into our new home :) We would highly recommend The Oaks to any of our friends who want to move in the future.

we aim to provide the highest standard of service to all of our clients and
customers, in line with the relevant Codes of Practice. One of the requirements of our membership of the
Ombudsman Service is that we have a process for assessing complaints about our
service, appropriate to our company’s size and structure.All branch staff will deal with any normal day to
day problems on a one to one basis; but if you wish to make a formal complaint (such
