Despite COVID-19 currently ruling the country, Barlow White took every step and precaution to make this as smooth a journey as possible. I am very pleased with the service I have received from Barlow White, mainly Kevin who has made my journey with the company an enjoyable one, it was a quick process from the time I settled on the property for me, to putting in the application and signing for it. I now look forwards to moving into my new property!! Thanks for all of your help :)

Very professional service, from start to finish. I felt confident that Paul and Abby would invest the time and energy needed to gain interest in the property and sell it enthusiastically. And that's what happened, with a full asking-price sale agreed within a couple of weeks. The ongoing support from Abby, Jess, and Natalie in particular, was excellent too, particularly given unanticipated delays and worries about the sale falling through. (Which thankfully it didn't!). Great mix of tact and empathy, with a drive to complete the sale as efficiently as possible. Thank you.

My son paid a deposit on a flat 2 weeks before moving in. He was told two days before that the flat had been let to someone else. The "senior@ sales advisor stated in an email that he had been off a few days and had not heard from my son regards the flat. Then has the audacity to state it is not up to him to chase clients for information. This is an oddity as i doubt he was chasing anyone whilst being off. I checked out this site having heard of my sons appealing treatment and it was no surprise to see the negative comments. There was one positive comment however singing the praises of Barlow White. There are some stupid people in this world and I don't blame people for self promotion but i don't believe it is coincidence that the only person to leave a positive comment about Barlow white and the sales advisor Kevin Russell was a chap named Kevin Russell. I suspect this is all you need to know regards their integrity. Awful people, awful attitude, no integrity, cheats. My advice is don't touch this firm with a barge pole.

The agent could of adopted a more friendly and approachable customer service attitude towards me. They could of also endeavoured to rectify the issues I brought to them, rather than just ignoring them for as long as possible.

I contacted Barlow White as they are the 'management' company for the apartment block in which I reside. The member of staff I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful and had a terrible customer service attitude.
The staff were really not interested in the issues I was facing at the apartment block, and actually did little to help resolve these. The level of 'maintenance' was laughable, and when an issue was reported - it took weeks for this to be rectified. It is doubtful I will ever live in any property managed by this company every again.

If this sounds like your idea of an ideal employee then please hire Jodie Barrett. I'm sure she's available since I can't imagine Barlow White being willing to continue her employment after the catalog of customer abuse she has left in her wake. Thank God I got out of there, I only feel sorry for any remaining tenants that have to deal with this awful, awful woman. Much happier with Your Move.

Perhaps gone out of her way a little to deliver some customer satisfaction. For some reason she thought it was her place to chastise me on certain issues. It isn\'t. I expect polite, helpful and courteous service when I ring up the people whose wages my rent helps to pay. Unfortunately I don\'t believe this individual will ever posses those qualities.

Absolutely the worst front end customer service I have ever encountered. Rude and patronizing, this particular member of staff seemed to be going out of her way to deliver the lowest possible standard of customer service possible. Totally unwilling even to make a phone call to help speed along the process of resolving one particular problem, it appears customer satisfaction doesn't rate too highly on her list of priorities though being unpleasant and obnoxious certainly does. It often takes them an age to action any work you require done and in most cases they seem content to ignore these requests entirely. Where I work we go out of our way to keep our customers happy. Evidently the staff at Barlow White and the manager Jody (appalling attitude!) in particular have a different philosophy. Shocking.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could and should invest in some customer service training for their manager. They should also thoroughly research their position by law before giving out incorrect information. Give tennants back the money they are owned. Have some manners.

Awful landlords. Although almost every member of staff I have dealt with there has been pleasent, the manager Jody is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with in my life. When we were broken into she gave us misinformation telling us to pay for the broken door ourselves when we requested insurance approved locksmiths. Thankfully I have worked for many years as an insurance broker and know the law and stood my ground saying we could not be liable for the door as we cannot get building insurance on a property we do not own and eventually after being very rude and abusive she relented. (our landlord had absolutly no problem with claiming against his insurance thats what it is there for!) Also took four months and constant phone calls to get the uncontested part of our deposit back. Only when I threatened to complain to the property ombudsman and repeatedly stated the LAW to her did we finally see a check. I firmly believe that they made it as difficult as they possibly could for us to get our deposit back in the hope that we would just give up and go away. I feel sorry for anyone that has to work with her and more importantly for any tenents she ever deals with - quite simply a NIGHTMARE!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
