This man did not arrive to a viewing at a property he was apparently trying to sell. He was unbelievably rude to my daughter and me when we eventually got hold of him, by telephone. I wouldn't even consider using him as an estate agent after my experience.

Awful man awful company. I rented a property for 2 years from this company ( if you can call it that). 2014-2016. The house was falling apart. Had to wait months for repairs. Even the leaking roof in my daughters room he left for nearly a year. Constant issues. He would turn up every 6 months for a pointless instection, were nothing would be done. Apart from his intimadation. He gets a jolly from making single mums feel uneasy. I suffered a great deal of personal stress and had alot of problems. I left a few months beforw the end of term. With the landlords permission. It was all arranged. When i left the property i did everything on the list of cleaning etc and more. Left the property in good condition. He then took all my deposit and a £1000 extra stating the house needed repairs. Not from me. The house and appliances were old etc. He charged me for the washing machine breaking when the new tennants moved in. And some thing to do with the cooker. Basically ripping me off to replace everything. Clearly taking advantage of me. I was depressed and in a bad way at the time. He knew what he was doing
Very calculated. He took me and my elderly mum to court. I couldnt go as suffered a loss as was too stressed and upset. So i had to pay a reduced amount. This man is a joke. A distgusting piece of work. He ripped off a friend of mine who rented one of his houses on the same street. For repairs and cleaning that was not needed also. Steve hewlett should be shut down. He is a nasty piece of work and so unprofessional.

Very unprofessional! I have been renting one of the properties managed by Steve Hewlett Associates during a 1 year contract in years 2014-2015.

The house I was renting was an old building with an outdated electrical facilities and a very old boiler. We experienced problems with the boiler which was out of order for extensive periods on a couple of occasions during winter months. Due to lack of heating in winter and no action being taken to repair the facilities I have been sick and unable to work for many days. Although the boiler has been eventually put into service, the underlining issues related to the outdated facilities have never been tackled. We had problems with mold appearing on the ceiling and the walls around the windows in our bedroom and the bathroom. Instead of taking the necessary action to fix the boiler and ensure proper ventilation, we have been asked to use a mold remover to remove the mold stains. This was also pushed on us as our responsibility although it was caused clearly due to poor state of the windows, walls and facilities in the house.

At the end of tenancy significant amount of money was taken from our deposit as the way to compensate for things that needed to be repaired after our tenancy. Those issues weren't caused by us but lack of action by the agency and the landlord. Steve kept giving excuses that the landlord doesn't want to spend money on repairs and it's up to the landlord to decide about the repairs, not him. My contract was with his company and he was my only point of contact with the house.

I don't wish anybody to experience similar problems as this was an utter hell.

PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL WITH STEVE HEWLETT ASSOCIATED.

If I could, I would give ZERO stars. Total waste of money, time and energy. Avoid!

Worst rental experience, will not look after the property at all. Does not visit to fix any issues. Left our apartment in an unfit state to house tenants

I had an awful experience with this estate agent. He was very rude and a nightmare to work with. I would recommend thinking twice before dealing in houses associated with this estate agent. He is the very reason I can no longer deal with any estate agent at all now!
