Used this agency as a Landlord over several years. Initially I was impressed, they marketed the property well and found decent tenants quickly. The sales team appear to be good and very efficient. Problems occurred however during the tenancy itself and particular during check outs. I paid for a full service, which supposedly included regular property inspections-these were not provided, and when I questioned them over this I was told this would incur charges! Inventories for check out were a total cock up with items being listed as missing when they weren't causing considerable conflict with tenants. A large wardrobe mirror was cracked and missed off the check out inventory, so I was being asked to replace, when it should have been charged to the previous tenant. Then when the next tenant constantly questioned this, Dixons obviously didn't tell them this was in dispute so it looked like I wasn't making any effort to put it right, which again caused conflict. The last tenant reported a water leak via the shower 2 days prior to departure, it had caused considerable damage including rotten back boards around the shower and kitchen ceiling. Again, this was all missing from the inventory and only discovered when I checked it out with a friend. I asked for a minimal deposit deductionpf £200 which they agreed to, then had a quote for £600 for repair work, all of which was sent to Dixons. They told me the tenant was disputing the £200 deduction, but also said that they would support my claim, then I heard nothing for ages. When chasing it up, they had given the tenant back the full deposit without informing me or asking for information at all. They said that the independent adjudicator had found in the tenants favour, yet I had no correspondence from anyone whatsoever, which seems highly unusual. They said they could not prove the decline of the kitchen decor as they had not completed property inspections, so basically I have been totally stitched up by them. Their complaint procedure is a farce , they were totally biased in favour of the tenant, possibly as they have rented another property managed by them but that's just my suspicion not confirmed. The minute I dropped them as a managing agent and opted for find a tenant service only, they had no time for me whatsoever. They even sent me an invoice for the repair to the wardrobe door after their complaints department finally agreed to pay for the work!!!. I have found them and their complaints procedure to be totally incompetent to say the least.

Dixons Wolverhampton - Worst estate agents I have ever known as a landlord. As landlord I expect professional and honest service especially when premium service fee charged.
To start with the tenancy has not been fully triggered; landlord’s signature (i.e. me) were pending and the keys were passed over to the tenant in rush. There is still shortfall in rent collected and actual rent agreed on tenancy agreement and its 8 months now, also still fully signed correct tenancy agreement is still pending.
Overcharged estate’s agent service fee for couple of months and it took far too much efforts to correct it, also their corporate compliant department is absolutely joke.
Worst, their local branch keeps sending surprise charges, fees every other month.
I don’t blame many landlords shunning traditional estate agents of these kind and moving towards online or taking more things themselves.

Whilst Gemma was out of the office i have been dealing with the Branch Manager Aimee who has also been fantastic, she has given me all the answers i need in regards to the morgage and explained the next steps! I really couldnt be happier at this stage and hope that the excellent service continues. My mom is coming in January to deal with yourselves due to how well you have treated me! Thanks again girls. 100% recommended!!

Their incompetence has led to a young family with a 3 year old child having no possession and having to sleep on the floorwhile they wouldn't release a key where all their property was. The place is full of jobsworths and nobody is prepared to help you. Complete and utter waste of time

Then when I started asking questions they got very rude and one member of staff became aggressive towards me. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. I then got in touch with country wide- they emailed me there complaints procedure I follows there instructions to the letter, and I had no response. I then got put in touch with the head of complaints at country wide. I did get a reply to this but was pushed back to the area manager as this is procedure for them. The area manager contacted me to say he would look into the matter and reply in accordance to there complaints procedure. Which he emailed to me again and the details don't match the first copy I was given! However last contact with this person was over two weeks ago their procedure states at phase 2 the have a response inside 10 days. My tenants have now left and left a big mess behind them and haven't payed the last months rent!!! I've had no contact from the agents apart from the check out document and a date to put a claim in for the damages! They haven't given me back my keys or certificates for the property! I'm now going to the property ombudsman to hopefully get this matter sorted! But I'm doubtful after reading the other reviews! I just hope they get enough complaints that an inspection is taken out on the whole company and country wide! Very disappointed doesn't some up my feelings. Hope this help's others when choosing an estate agents! STAY AWAY FROM DIXONS!

My partner & I had the misfortune of dealing with this company for a property rental and to say that they are the most unprofessional and inept company would be a gross understatement. They made a monumental series of errors that got us so frustrated we ended up contacting the Property Ombudsman. We have been lied to, deceived and their whole attitude throughout has been a nonchalnat one. To highlight some of the issues - they advertised a property at a negotiated price, then on the eve of us moving told us the 'proposed rent was to be increased', I refused the new asking price and had to negotiate over the phone a new deal, had this not have been done we may have found ourselves with nowhere to live. They had no record of us paying the holding fee and security deposit and even asked me to provide proof with a bank statement - I refused to do this as I believe any company should have records of their finances. I was not given a receipt either! The gas appliances in the house we were renting (we have since moved) were unsafe and inadequate and had no safety certification (we found out when we both started suffering from nausea and headaches - a subsequent check proved the gas appliances were 'dangerous' and not to be used any longer). Although I believe the Landlord is responsible for this, surely the letting agents should have their own checks in place.
I made several attempts after this to complain about their service (or lack of it) following their complaints procedure (branch, area, then onto Ombudsman if still not satisfied) only to be met with further frustration by their inability to respond or deny receiving any mail from me.
It is then that took the step to contact the Property Ombudsman, as I was not getting any satisfaction from this company or COUNTRYWIDE RESIDENTIAL LETTINGS (the group that DIXONS is part of and to whom I had to further address my complaints).
DIXONS ESATE AGENTS and COUNTRYWIDE RESIDENTIAL LETTINGS both consitently failed to address my concerns and further 'flouted' concerns when addressed by the Property Ombudsman.
My partner and I are both glad we will NEVER have to deal with this company again, though I feel any points raised by the Ombudsman will sadly be ignored as this seems to be their way of dealing with their customers. They are ignorant, unprofessional, deceiful, they are prone to lying and do not have their custmers concerns at heart. Unfortunately, I feel we are not the only ones who have had to deal with their extremely poor service and sadly I feel we wont be the last. If you have the chance to use any one else other than DIXONS ESTATE AGENTS and/or COUNTRYWIDE RESIDENTIAL LETTINGS then may I suggest you do so and hopefully avoid any misery, confusion and wasted time with these people.
