Tried to buy a small piece of agricultural land via this outfit. On all of their marketing and conversations prior to my off was no mention made of there being an existing tenant farmer. Also obviously no mention that vacant occupation could be possible. The earliest I heard of this was after I incurred the cost of a solicitor, and the vendors solicitor told us the land came with tennant and we could get rid of him easily if we wanted..... we also since learned farmer might be interested in buying it as well.... good estate agency or ANY selling should be based on transparency and win win. All I had been told was that the vendor wanted it closed quickly...thank goodness I insisted that my solicitor did a thorough job..... as for the validity of this web site I see plenty of other estate agents with good and positive reviews! This this estate agent needs to review their perception..... btw 'preliminary announcement to sale' in normal queens English is that the same as 'new' or 'new in' .?

At last I have returned to Cornwall and have this opportunity to put in writing my disgust at the way we were treated and cheated by this agency. As local people, moving away from Cornwall due to redundancy, we put our self built house in Truro with Lillicrap (former Millers employee). We had ... Read Full Review

Avoid Lillicrap Chilcott like the plague - unless you like being gazumped and deceived! Unfortunately, we were recently gazumped by LC and seller on a beautiful St Ives property. All parties had amicably agreed the sale/purchase two months earlier, and we were on the brink of exchanging ... Read Full Review

I had dealings with two people predominantly in this office. One was very professional (and the other, *, I found to be utterly convinced of his own importance and blissfully unaware of how he made us feel in viewing a 'lower end' house at under £350,000. His comments (on more than one occasion) ... Read Full Review

Today I received the news that our offer which was accepted last thursday, 1 week ago, has now been gazumped in favour of another offer. We felt that they have been unproffesional, we have no chain and we have started all neccssery proceedings, and our morgage advisor had told them we are in a ... Read Full Review
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
