From the moment we applied for the property to the day we FINALLY received our deposit back our experience of Leaders has been dreadful.
Firstly our application process was long and drawn out with no communication whatsoever so we had no idea what was happening and no one called us back or replied to emails.
They gave their copy of our house key to a contractor who never returned it. We complained several times but they didn't see any issue at all! This then meant that we had to make sure we were in for inspection visits; 2 of them they just didn't turn up and the others they just fed us bullshit about the repairs they fake promised to have done. We then had to be in every time they showed people the property once we'd put in our notice. I'm pretty sure he will still have the key, and I think this is outrageous. I feel like I should warn the current tenants that a random person has a key to their house.
Every time we had to deal with them we were left stressed and frustrated.
It then took 2 months to get our deposit back. They deducted money for a cleaning company but we know for definite that one wasn't used. Or if there was they didn't make any difference to what we had already done.
It might be fair to say that the landlord was just as much of an arse and I'm pretty sure they colluded against us to get as much money as they could.
I cannot stress enough to not use this agency.

I had almost identical circumstances, I moved in a very old shabby property, I was only there for 8 months and left the property in a great condiition very confident I would be getting all of my deposit back (although i thought thery may try it on woth a couple of things as agents usually do). To my total shock they were asking for £1400 to cover things that just were not there.
