Absolutely appalling experience with Purple Bricks. We had three offers accepted then rejected—each one more frustrating than the last.
1. Our first offer, made via a deal sourcer, was initially accepted. After providing all the required details, Purple Bricks came back and rejected it, saying the offer must be in our name—something that should have been clarified from the start.
2. We made a second offer, even higher and in our name. It was accepted, a memorandum of sale was issued, and our solicitor was contacted. A few days later, they pulled the offer with no warning.
3. We submitted a third offer—even more money—and the seller accepted. We got our solicitors ready, but Purple Bricks left the property on the market the entire time.

Special mention to Oliver, whose handling of the process was nothing short of unprofessional. We’ve wasted over £500 on an AIP, not to mention a month and a half of our time, absolutely nothing.

Completely untrustworthy, disorganised, and unprofessional. Avoid.

I paid £1499 purple bricks to sell my flat. Myself and my partner wanted to see how it went before we considered selling our other 2 properties with Purple Bricks.
The agent David Ireland
made an online apprasil of the property I wasnt too comfortable with this and decided to read some reviews and find out more about Purple Bricks.
Unfortunately there are many negative reviews (obviously I should have read them first ) a number of people mentioned that some agents dont live localy and sometimes cannot attend viewings.
The nagatives are abundant "Avoid this disgusting Company" "Avoid at all costs" "Avoid like the plague"

I asked a refund (this was well within the 14 days) I was passed around to many people within the organisation and was told the agent would deal with it I was told I would a refund within 7 days which I didnt get the agent looked into it and said it had been paid into my account I assured him I hadnt recieved it and ofered to show my bank statement.
He said he would look into but we never got any updates and were constantly chasing him.
The agent said that the money was paid into my partners on March 18 it wasnt and I asked evidence more time passed constantly chasing him.
No evidence of the alleged refund was provided. I escalated this to the complaints department and informed them they dont provide evidence of the alleged refund I will be taking it further and will be informing the Propery Ombudsman.
After sending the complaint I got the refund back in a couple within a couple of days with no appology.

I encourage people to avoid Purple Bricks and go with a traditional agent you will pay more money but it will be worth it.
Selling a home is one of the most stressful things you can do so you really want, "Experienced and Honest Proffesionals" to do the job.
Strike bought Purple Bricks £1.00 I can only assume a Purple Brick hit them on the head and they got concussion when they grossly overpaid this disastarous accusation.

What an awful experience from start to finish. Firstly, it is not free, (but surely everyone knows this by now?) unless you do literally everything yourself including your own marketing and advertising and good luck with that. If you want the usual things, photos, floor plan, a write up, advertising where it matters I.e. zoopla, rightmove etc., then be prepared £1000s of potential additional costs. It is going to cost you a minimum of £700 you do everything yourself but just want to be on Rightmove and this is not just a one off cost, but every 6 months there is a minimum of a £600 charge to keep your advert live and still no guaranteed sale after all this so there is an element of gambling and you have a low to mid value property you should seriously think about whether it would be more financially effective to just pay a High Street agent their 1% commission and them do all the work with no hidden extras and repeat demands money. Now onto your assigned 'agent'. Firstly, good luck getting hold of them. They are painfully slow to respond, sometimes taking up to a week. You can manage your advert in your online portal and make tweaks but you need the agent to approve this and action which can take days. Also, the only marketing advice they ever gave is to keep lowering the price in large drops, even you are already below market valuation at this point. Purplebricks brand took a hammering after they went bust. They survived with a buyout from a competitor but they haven't changed the business model / poor customer service that so clearly caused their demise. Don't bother complaining to their customer services either. They have 'scammy' feeling approach to customer service complaints. I.e. the customer is NEVER right and must protect revenue at all costs, so don't expect any kind of partial refund or good will freebies. They present you with a list of reasons why your complaint is not going to be taken seriously and berate you as they are defense lawyers rather than customer service support. I would just avoid as the experience is poor and it is 5050 you will end up paying more and having more hassle than you just go with a traditional agent in the first place, who you may actually achieve a higher price with anyway and so won't cost you any more than selling with Purplebricks would. The whole thing is a bit of a trick when you think about it so be wiser than me and don't fall it. Honestly I thought this was the way forward but I have learned the costly and timely way that the High Street agents are still the better option and can offer an edge over these online only marketers. If you do choose an online platform, don't go with Purplebricks at least.

An absolutely disgusting company it doesn't take much to go online and see thousands of negative reviews about Purplebricks. This disgusting company has been chasing me for money that I do not owe for almost a year now they have caused me great emotional distress and caused severe financial difficulty for myself I have taken it to the Osmo board and they have decided to side with Purplebricks despite all of the facts that are in place. Did you know that Purplebricks has a sub clause in their contract? That says they're allowed to take 28 working days from the last time they contacted you , this is just absolutely absurd. I have reported Purplebricks to trading standards to the Osmo odium board and I've tried to reason with them but they are acting Disgusting manor Threatening me over the phone and refusing to listen to my justification they put the house up for sale and for nine months I had four messages off housing manager and the property was not sold. I had over 30 viewings 26 of which were cancelled by purple Bricks due to no available agent I then found out two months into selling the property that the housing manager had agreed to work with me to sell the house was fired for conduct somehow six months later he was re-hired by the company became my housing manager again ignored all my calls messages emails and even when I went to the offices was completely ignored. This company is full of crooks and customer service advisors who are not there to assist you anything you have been promised by this company is simply a lie I would highly recommend that you go elsewhere as their advertisement lies. Their policy is corrupt and their communication is awful. I would happily take them to court if I need to because I don't believe in paying for a service that I have not received.

If I could give zero stars I would, conned my elderly mother out of nearly £1000 the rang her 6 months after advising it to tell her they were taking off the market as they were only advising for 6 months SHE WAS NOT TOLD THIS WHEN SHE SIGNED UP!
She's had 3 viewings in 6 months absolutely shocking customer service! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!
