Came to Darlows as a landlord with a property to rent. Problems with property issues and lack of communication with Darlows, from the outset. They were paid to fully managed the property but did as little as they could, even refusing to serve written notice on the tenant's in order to access the property. When the tenants moved out they phoned to say that the property was in good order, only to find that there were problems at the address. They now won't answer any emails or pick up the phone to resolve. If you don't get anywhere with your complaint, they tell you that there complaints procedure is to speak to the branch manager. This will be via the same number you have tried to ring on hundreds of times. They don't offer to escalate the complaint to an Area Director and when you ask to speak to one, none of there staff seem to know who the relevant Area Directors are and they never have any contact details for them. I would just go to The Property Ombudsman Service (TPOS) directly and advise them that you have tried to follow your their complaints procedure, but to no avail.
If ever you need to contact there Property Management office in Newport, forget it. They never ever pick up and when you leave a voicemail message, and even then they never ever return your call. They have lots of staff working there, so i see no excuses for there poor customer services and mediocre telephone system.
My advice.....use Asset Estates, Bidmead Cook or Purple Bricks. You are 100% guaranteed to get a better service.
