"I recently had an experience with Let's Live Leeds, and unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. While the initial renting process was relatively smooth, I encountered some issues during my stay.

Firstly, a £50 deposit was deducted from my account, which I wasn't initially informed about. This lack of transparency was disappointing, as it's always better to have a clear understanding of the costs involved when renting. What made this deduction particularly frustrating was the fact that I had taken the time to clean my room thoroughly before moving out. However, despite my best efforts, there was a thin layer of dust found in one of the drawers.

I understand that cleanliness is essential, but I had expected a more reasonable approach to assessing the property's condition upon my departure. The £50 deduction seemed excessive for such a minor issue.

It's important for any rental agency to ensure that their assessment of property condition is fair and just, especially when it comes to deductions from the security deposit. I believe that Let's Live Leeds should work on improving transparency regarding fees and the assessment process for cleaning in their properties to provide a more balanced experience for their tenants.

The Let's Live Leeds team was responsive and tried to address my concerns promptly, which is a positive aspect of their service. I hope that they can take my feedback into consideration to enhance their rental process for future customers.

Well, where do I start. Our house has been infested with rats for a month (that we know off), we've had pest control come round and told us theres a nest in our basement so we were supposed to have contractors round that we've been waiting 3 weeks for, leaving health risk to be increased by the day, we've numerously rang them and they keep saying we will ring you back to which they never do. They lost my friends room key which they said they wouldn't replace and to just put her valuables on top floor to which we cant even lock, as once again they didn't give us a key. For the price we pay each week and for our health to be at risk as well as our security its completely unacceptable.

Firstly, the company refused to remove a wasp nest that was on our student house- resulting in all of us being stung several times on our body. Then, it took one month for them to come and look at the damp on the ceiling and a leak from the bath. As well as this, refused to get pest control when rats entered our house, as this was apparently our fault?
Also, they cost all account of how much each tenant in our home had paid rent and relied on us- students, to do their finances for them! It's as if the company is being run down a dark alley by a bunch of kids. Totally unprofessional and unaccountable for their negligence and incompetence.

Alongside this, after experiencing mental health issues at university and as a consequence, having to move out of my student property, Let Leeds demanded an upfront payment of all outstanding rent, amounting to £3,000. Having severe anxiety and depression at the time and party due to the stress of living in such a damp and dirty home, the company would not leave me alone and phoned me every single day until it was paid. As a student, it was near impossible to magic up this amount instantaneously- in the end, having to rely on a family member. They showed no concern or empathy towards the situation at all, which as they deal with predominantly student clients, empathy would be an emotion the workers here possess when it comes to basic human problems.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! I advise anybody to look elsewhere and do your research before letting a property with this company or any company with similar reviews. The stress we have encountered is something I would not wish upon anybody else.

I had my property valued by let leeds..never heard anything back..re-contacted them 8,days later...terrible service in this day and age...i wasted a day..i could of been back in york..

Arranged to view a property and travelled to Leeds to see the place only to be turned away at the door because they hadn't bothered to inform the tenants, re-arranged and then had my 2nd appointment cancelled due to the property being taken, after reading the other reviews I can't hep but feel I dodged a bullet.
