No smoke alarm or CO2 monitor. Attempted to charge £55 out of my deposit for this. I had the paperwork to show someone had been to my house and recommended them to install one, which they hadn't.
I had a huge personal tragedy and needed to move as a consequence. They were not sympathetic to this. You don't need to be a charity but human decency would have been nice. You are dealing with people.
Complained about the mould in my house. Sent someone over, didn't do anything. Complained again. Same story. They just didn't care.
I didn't cancel my direct debit and when I called to ask for them to transfer it back they charged me a £30 admin fee. It was all the money I had. If they were ever in that position, they would be livid.
Also, the fees were just horrific. But then, they need a purpose to exist, so taking money fills their void I guess.
I have had dodgy landlords who ignore emails/calls and take forever to do stuff but I have never ever had such heartless people. Take blame.
I am putting research together of your current and past customers who have experienced your black hole of a heart and putting a case forward to influence local housing policy.
In the meantime, if you are with these people, please don't do ANYTHING via phone useless you record it. EVIDENCE EVERYTHING.
