It was decided that extra rent would be taken without conversation with myself. This was unsatisfactory as I wanted to sell the house. Also full cost of this wasn't seen by myself.
Issues with the utilities at the beginning of the process were costly and led to baliff's threats etc.
It may be your opinion as the person we weren't dealing with that it was hassle free, but that was not out experience.

Costs are outlined in advanced and I was warned by other landlords, I am merely pointing out, from my experience, that it is less costly and time consuming to manage your own property as there is no value in having it managed.

We weren't in control of the fact that the tenant decided to go on holiday at the end of the tenancy and didn't drop their keys back into us until later, however this issue was recompensed with extra rent payments for the time involved in the delay.

This was unfortunately one of those occasions when the Landlord and managing agent relationship never got off the ground and whilst there were issues with utilities at the end of the tenancy (which after an unacceptable delay were resolved) the tenancy itself was actually relatively hassle free.

All costs and charges were clearly outlined at the start and the levying of VAT was unavoidable however we were regularly reminded that you were unhappy with the fees you were paying even though these had been mutually agreed.
