Shocking disgrace of a service. If I could put zero stars that would be too much. I have rented several properties, been an excellent and organised tenant and never had any issues with maintenance or deposits.
The day we had arranged a viewing on the flat the girl never showed up, we rang and they said nothing could be done, when I complained they sent someone to meet us with the keys, funny that!
The day we had agreed to move none of the paper work was ready, made even more frustrating that we had taken time off work. We sat in the office until it was done. And then they had the cheek of charging us an admin fee.
From the moment we moved in there were problems with the flat, it had been left filthy, mice droppings, a broken washer and fans, faulty electrics and poor carpets. After 100s of emails and complaints and several people being sent to attempt repairs (again time taken off work and nothing actually fixed) and 10 months later and nothing had been fixed. The hob was so dangerous it had burned all the work surface to a cinder. Needless to say we didn't feel safe and moved out. And despite all that I cleaned the place and left it significantly more presentable than we found it.
6 weeks after moving out we still had no deposit back. After chasing and chasing and calling almost every day we were told the landlord wanted some of the deposit for repairs. We were livid, and advised we would dispute, counter claim and go to court if necessary. We quickly got a reply saying that the full deposit would be released to us. The same day another email was received stating that they would need to take £60 out of our deposit for an unpaid admin fee. Again I disputed this as the deposit is protected and the admin fee had been paid.
Finally, after a very stressful 11 months we are finally rid of the whole thing and have our deposit back. NEVER USE. Bad for both tenants and landlords. Pleasant enough on the phone but useless in reality.
