In a world of online agents and races to the bottom, Gascoigne Pees are a wonderful exception who prove "you get what you pay for". Yes, they might be more expensive than selling your home through a website. But for what was still a very competitive fee, James and the team:
* Discussed a realistic valuation with reference to real sales in the local area
* Produced an excellent set of professional photographs which really helped show my house in the best light.
* Managed over 20 viewings with no more effort required from me than a quick, "yes, that's fine" over the phone or e-mail. (As a busy person, that alone is worth the extra cost!)
* Got four excellent proceedable offers well in excess of what I was expecting.
* Put in huge amounts of effort to manage a very difficult and slow solicitor.
* Handled the exchange of keys so I could go on holiday without the slightest worry on the day of completion.
I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service - they're one of the most professional agents I've had the pleasure of dealing with, and are proactive in keeping things moving even when solicitors are dragging their heels. I'd recommend the West Byfleet branch to anyone selling or purchasing a property in the area; don't be tempted to skimp and go online, they prove the traditional high street agent can be well worth the money.

They are obviously not as cheap as online, but are still very competitive for a high street agent.
