I was involved in a purchase through Sydenham branch of Acorn. We had an agreement with the agent that while we were on 1 weeks holiday if interest was shown on the property we were seriously wanting to buy, they would contact us and enable us to respond. There was no contact while we were away and I wrongly assumed that we would recommence the negotiations on our return. I was shocked to find that an offer had been made on the property and accepted without any communication with us. I have tried to contact Acorn without success, they don't return calls. I would advise anyone dealing with this agency to be very careful and don't believe a word you are told. Sellers use the on line agents, don't get ripped off. There is every chance we would have offered more than the poor seller is going to get, and guess what! they will never know. Agencies have always feathered their own nest at minimal effort.

Yip well ,your not alone Acorn are maggots they need regulated and enforced penalties its like the Wild West with acorn you rob a bank and go to jail they rob you with deposit and fees and zero repairs and Owner Mark in Hitchin Branch says oh well all the more for me

Terrible service, takes ages to resolve issues. And does not care about its tenants. Properties seem to be left to go into disrepair by landlords, and this is not spotted by them (Acorn). We know of 4-5 properties like this now after speaking to other ...
