Being a buyer looking for properties, my experience with Winkworth's different offices has been excellent, till my experience with James from the Shepherd's Bush office. I was due to have a viewing after work. I had a long day and realised would get c. 20 mins. delayed, so informed him so through all the contact means he had shared - called his direct landline as well as main office no. (both went to vm), emailed as well. I commuted 40 mins. only to have a missed call from a mobile no.(turned out to be his no. when I called back which he hadn't shared before) that he left 5 mins. back and can't be bothered to be back. Upon stating that I had notified him of my delay in advance through all means I had, commuted more than 1.5 hrs. just for this viewing (I work in EC and live in SW8) and requested if he can drive back as he had left only a few mins. back, he refused acknowledgement of any email/ call and refused to do the few mins. drive back, further was very casual about it and thought I live locally in W8 (so, possibly even my address details had been incorrectly entered on the system). So, at the end of a long workday, I wasted 1.5 hrs. commuting to interact with an agent who refused receipt of any advance notice that he had been given, accused me of making a fuss when I''m delayed, and refused a few mins. drive back to show me the property. I am really surprised by the unprofessional and lazy attitude I experienced, specially unexpected from Winkworth, and am not using this branch again in my search.

Our office closes at 6.30 (the time of your scheduled appointment) and so calling beyond this time would i'm afriad have gone to our voicemail. Our standard procedure is we allow 15 minutes after an appointed time where possible and call the applicant during this period.
We do not want to waste anyone's time but also can't be expected to stand outside a property for an hour hoping an applicant will arrive.
I hope we can assist further will your property search as we of course value our applicants and want to find them a home.
