Phew...I don't even know where to start...They are terrible...in all the possible ways. If there is something which can gone wrong you can be sure , they will make it wrong.
First time when we found a property on rightmove we called the agency and scheduled a time to view the property. First time the agent hasn't showed up....great. Never-mind we wanted the property, second time the agent canceled the meeting an hour before it was due....OK. Finally third time the agent showed up and finally we were able to go in and check....ops but we went to a wrong property.
The old man was so frightened that 3 people just went in his room without a word...The agent made a few phone-call and she figured out that the property is on the other side of the street and we were lucky because the tenant was at home...without keys it would have been difficult to go in..
So this is how our journey started with them.
We paid the agent fee immediately because we still wanted the other property and hoped that this tiny inconveniences and mistakes are just an unlucky day...but no it is not.
After we paid the fees the agent just gone, i mean 0 phone-calls how the process is going nothing. And i told her we have one and a half month to move out from the current property because the landlord renovating the house, but she doesn't really cared about this, she just sat on the money and basically did all the paperwork after 2-3 weeks we paid the money. its okay...i thought, we are not in a hurry after all...When i asked why is this going so slow, she just blamed the landlord that they do not answering....but i highly doubt that...
So finally the documents become ready to sign she said everything is perfect landlord accepted everything , and we signed immediately. After that we went on a short holiday on the long weekend. 2 days later they phoned up and said we need to pay 6 months rent in advance because the landlord changed his mind...i guess they managed to communicate something very well again on the other side...so lets say pay £3000 pound in the next 3 days...because there were only 3 days left before the move in date...
I told them i am not able to pay that amount now because we agreed that 1 month deposit and 1 month rent is fine so i was not prepared for this. so we started bargain..!!!.....
I paid 2 month rent in advance and they told me the next payment due in 1st of June...fine.
Now its 18th of May and i got the second letter from them that i haven't paid the rent so it was reported to the landlord....i already phoned them up 5 times, they apologised that the mistake was made on their side(again) but i keep getting warning letters and reports to my landlord...
I told them i want to speak with the landlord because this is ridiculous and i am not going to take this trouble they make every damn day. They declined that.
So at the moment i am just living here in a wonderful place which i found ,with the most terrible agency on the world and thinking on how to get rid of these leechers and continue without them.
So on last word. If you have any chance, AVOID THEM on ANY COST.

As an estate agent I would recommend but not their conveyancing team (Conveyancing Direct Limited. St Leonards on Sea).
