From the outset Taylor and Wood have provided a very poor service. On many occasions when I have visited the estate agents to obtain an update, the paper folder could not be found and only after an extensive search around the office was the folder traced. They do not provide regular updates, in contrast to other agents, of any interest shown in the property. I have been obliged to call the agent for updates on any possible interest on the property. It also became apparent that logs are not been made of telephone calls from potential buyers or calls I have made to them. When I rang on one occasion, the manager stated within the conversation, the last call was a month ago, although I had called every week for the last month for an update. In addition when a person viewed the property, she told me it took three or four requests for a viewing to be arranged before the agent acted on this. I would strongly recommend that nobody uses this agent as it is a complete waste of time and money.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Although I paid the fee upfront at a reduced rate, given the poor service and the failure of the agent to make any attempt to sell the property, as stated above it is a complete waste of time and money.

Feb 19, 2016Further to the review dated 25th January, Taylor and Wood have acknowlegded the grievances, and have since given a part refund, of the fee I paid upfront. I will now be selling my property with another agent.

Feb 22, 2016This matter has now been resolved. We do not take any criticism lightly and have discussed the comments raised with the client direct. We mutually agreed that it would be in the best interests of all concerned to remove Jennifer's property from the market immediately. We are disappointed to hear that although Jennifer received regular up-dates she was unhappy with our service. May we take this opportunity to wish Jennifer and her next estate agent every success with the sale of her property.

There was no alternative viewing (for example, after fumigating) offered even when I showed obvious discomfort in wanting to proceed (I said several times that I didn’t really want to go in), and I feel the situation was downplayed as “maybe it didn’t have any anymore because (someone) stepped into the house and there are no visible fleas on their feet”. When I called to tell them that I now had fleas because of this viewing, I was asked if I was interested in putting an offer in on the property.

This is the 2nd viewing I have had with Taylor & Wood. The 1st property I had been told that the work needed on it was “mostly cosmetic” and that the cost would depend on “whether you shop at John Lewis or B&M”. The bedroom ceiling had a huge hole in it and every room in the house needed ripping out and starting again. But at least it didn’t have fleas, I guess.
Fair to say that I will not be using Taylor & Wood in the future.

From the very start of the process Mike came and valued the house and was very knowledgeable about the area, my position as a landlord and what he was allowed to photograph and it was online within days. From then the interest was good and with Ann and Mike they did all the arranging of the show rounds and I had a solid offer in a week which was great. Unfortunately due to some issues on my side the sale took longer than anticipated and it was a very stressful time but the team were always on the end of the phone and keeping positive throughout. We completed last week and it was fabulous to be able to say a huge thank you to them for their guidance support and knowledge.

I said OK but it's still on the market? They've just been unlucky was the response. The tone was rude and abrupt. Despite me calling about a property for sale, not once did she ask for my details or whether I would like to view the property. Poor salesmanship. I feel sorry for the people paying for them to sell their property. I won't be using them to list mine.

As a first-time buyer, buying a house can be intimidating.
When I put the offer on the house (which I now own), I had already had a bad experience with a very pushy estate agent trying to drive the price up on another house I was interested in. I'm very happy to report Ann was the complete opposite of this!
I felt like she was working for me as well as the buyer. She worked and negotiated with both of us to reach a solution we're both happy with every step of the way.
She gave me a lot of genuine advice which helped me through out the process and was incredibly patient with all of my questions and queries!
I am so very happy that I got to buy my house with Taylor and Wood and I had these fantastic ladies helping me through it.
10/10 - Thank you :)

What agent could do to change your mind?

Be more pro-active with tenants, remember that it is the landlords that pay you the fees, sort things out quickly when you make mistakes

. Introduce themselves . Turn up on time . Answer basic questions . Have information on the property . Do not say you \'hate working weekends\' or ask the customer \'to hurry up\' due to your next appointment.

My partner and had made arrangement with this company to move a property in Mottram. We arrived at the property just before the agreed time, however the agent turned up 20 minutes late. We proceeded to look round the property and had a few simple and routine questions we would've liked to ask such as the parking available. He said 'you only get one parking space so it's tough if you have two cars'. The agent stayed outside in his car and started to make calls on his mobile so we were unable to ask the questions we wanted until he had finished. When the rep came into the property he asked my partner and I the cost of rent for this property, as he hadn't bothered to bring any information on the property due to him 'not wanting to work this weekend'. We had a quick scan round the property and took no longer than 10 minutes and we were asked to 'hurry up' as he had another appointment he had to drag himself to. He did not ask if we wanted to arrange another viewing or if he had helped us with our questions, he simply said 'see ya' whilst hanging out of his car and drove off not even leaving us with a contact number or any of the information we had hoped to gain. I would not recommend this company to anyone, to try and sell a property to somebody and not even be aware of the cost of the rent is disgusting.
