An absolutely disgusting service that still hasn't ended. Dates to move in changed with less than 48 hours notice, flat dirty upon arrival, numerous maintenance issues still not resolved. Inventory still not returned, moved in mid June and now its October. Over charged me and failed to tell me about it, I realised when 2 months later I went through my accounts and then had to ask for a refund, which I did receive, but with not a single apology. Emails and phone calls not returned, unless they want something. Agent was surprised when 2 months after moving in called and asked if I was happy to have prospective buyers shown around, I have a 1 year contract paid in advance, to be told under no circumstances was anybody coming round to view the property. At all costs avoid this agency, I have noticed they have all of a sudden had some good reviews, can only assume they are written by employees instead of genuine customers. If they are genuine I am sure they will come to regret any positive comments a s the tenancy progresses

Thank you for writing your review on AllAgents and mentioned in my email to you on 5th August, you have received apologies from myself, Adam Snape and Rhea Kennedy for the inconvenience you encountered moving into the property. As previously mentioned, as soon as we realised the condition of the property would not be acceptable, we tried to re-arrange the tenancy start date. This was not an option for you so we tried to limit the inconvenience as much as possible. The day that you collected your keys you did have to wait for the cleaner to complete the clean, but that was the best we could do under the circumstances. We returned your application fee to you in full and offered an additional £100 as a gesture of goodwill because we were sympathetic to the position you found yourself in. I do not believe that is 'disgusting customer service'. The outstanding maintenance issues, as you know, remain as such because your landlord has not given their consent for them to be completed. They are non-essential repairs. The other outstanding repair lies with the building management who are trying to reach a conclusion to this as quickly as possible but sourcing parts is proving very difficult. I am sorry that you have not received your amended inventory, this will be sent to you without delay. Currently, without this document you are not suffering a loss. No emails or phone calls have remained unanswered, as described in my email to you on 5th August: "Having checked our phone records (attached for your reference), I have noticed that only 1 voicemail was left for Rhea on Friday 12 June at 15.52. All other times you called her, you hung up the phone once her voicemail had kicked in. Unless an actual voicemail was left, staff have no way of knowing that they have missed a call. Rhea's voicemail takes 12 seconds to complete, until the option to speak is available. Apart from a call on Thursday 11 June at 14.39 with a voicemail of 38 seconds in length and one on Friday 12 June at 15.52 with a voicemail of 32 seconds in length, no other voicemails were left for Rhea because you had hung up the phone before then. " Both of the voicemails you left for Rhea were responded to on the same day. The phone call you received from Thornley Groves was not in order to show a prospective buyer round the property. This visit was to undertake a sales valuation. The Landlord wished to know the value of the property in today's market, which they are entitled to do. Nothing could be done in terms of selling the property without your consent and if you agreed you would be within your rights to remain in the property for the duration of the fixed term tenancy. I would also like to assure you that all of the compliments are genuine and from our customers. AllAgents check IP addresses to make sure that they are genuine and we verify all comments made on the website. Your assumptions are incorrect. It is regrettable that your experience so far has been a negative one, but we have done as much as we could to assist and our reasonable financial offer to you was rejected. Sophie Jones

There is a large rental market in Manchester especially with the universities, hence the agents need to be competitive and flexible so I was able to negotiate what I felt was a good deal. Oliver was very relaxed and easy to deal with when it came to discussing the agent fees.
