Initial contact who showed me the property Alex was very professional ,patient ,very informative and polite person .I then visited the branch very stressed and unsure but found all the staff were very welcoming and at once I felt that I had come to the right agent . I was then seen by the manager Matthew Marchant who spoke to me In lengths explaining the contract deposit and the tenancy . I was very impressed . Office was very well kept with information all round . I was then given information to take away with the branch managers Buisness card with contact number . I had at that stage decided that I would use Gibbs Gillespie as my agents and was confident that they would help me if I had any issues .
I have the pleasure to recommend and use Gibbs Gillespie in the future again . On the whole the whole experience was a promising one and the staff there made it so easy and stress free .
Comment on agent fees
The only thing I was but happy with was as a professional I was asked to give a deposit of over ƒâ€š‚£5000 before I could step into the property . It was very stressful to get that sort of money at a short period . That's the only thing that would stop me from renting again from this company . I was told I had to be earning ƒâ€š‚£30000pa to have a low deposit .

Will be nice to get 10% (including VAT) which I suggested a few times and which the competitor were offering. Should be something Gibbs should consider especially with higher lets and place "icing on the cake" for long term relationships.

The fees are quite steep if you take into account the monthly rental fees as well. For a family on an average income, it's very challenging to move to London from outside the UK, given current exchange rates.
