By far, the most unprofessional estate agent that I've come across in London. In trying to work out an amicable solution to end a tenancy early, no help was offered by Peter James whatsoever. I understand that they are working on behalf of the landlord but we were offering workable solutions where no party would lose out but you would have thought we were asking them to do something above and beyond.

Consistently avoiding our queries and questions, never answering our phone calls; when we did get through to them, we found the staff unhelpful, inflexible and completely lacking knowledge in their trade. Every time we got through we would be told that we would receive a call back because nobody could ever give us an answer - absolutely no chance of that happening, so on would continue the mentally draining pursuit constantly having to chase them and berate them on what should be a common courtesy.

A solution still hasn't been met and we are now multiple thousands of pounds out of pocket.

I will avoid ever having to deal with this shower of charlatans ever again in the future and I urge anyone else to do the same!
What agent could do to change your mind?
If the agent would have liked to help, they could answer the phone, arrange to meet us and discuss our requirements and what would be best for the property and the tenants instead of leaving someone in completely unsatisfactory and extremely challenging living conditions.

Comment on agent fees
My property management fee with Peter James was 12.5% plus VAT. The new estate agent who is managing my property charges 5% plus VAT. So not only was the service I received unbelievably poor, but it was also expensive in comparison to other estate agents. (note: the estate agent I transferred to is reputable and local to southeast London too).
