Because properties in Kemp Town were being snapped up, and we don't currently live locally, I rang all the local estate agents and gave them our criteria and asked if they had anything in the pipeline which might suit us. Michael at Brand Vaughan listened very carefully and suggested at least 2 properties, which we viewed as soon as we got down to Brighton. They both were exactly what we had been looking for and we ended up buying the second one, which he had earmarked as a real contender. He very sensibly let the property speak for itself when we viewed and also answered all our questions and checked his notes when not sure.Michael and all the office staff were extremely obliging and helpful throughout the process. This is probably the last property we shall buy as we are retiring to Brighton, and, irrespective of what happens as we move towards completion of the purchase, it has been by far our best experience of house buying.

Brand Vaughan is an awful letting agency.
I have been renting a flat from Brand Vaughan for a long time.
Unfortunately, after many years of neglect by my landlord, the flat is now in an extremely poor condition.

I'm in the exact same situation! They provided me with false information and then changed this once I requested my money back. the wavered the agency fees but i have a feeling they were trying to get the £400 which was supposed to be non refundable deposit. they did say they were going to refund me, however, i dont know whether that was because they saw i had some clout behind me with property developers and i knew what i was talking about or if they genuinely were struggling with the application
