Horrifically unhelpful, leaves you in a property unfit for living standards, gives false information, and does NOT fix any issues unless you nag consistently ever day. My flat mate and I are living in a property that we can not wait to get out of. When we viewed the place it was in a disgusting way - albeit down to the previous tenants but as we have found the tenants were most likely completely unaware of any viewings going on - we were also given false information. We asked about the gas meters making sure there normal meters as we said no to a very nice property due to a pay point gas meter. We couldn't find any other property we liked so we went for this one which we felt we got a good deal, in a lovely quiet area good size, and we would make it our own and would be lovely when cleaned. Signed the papers got the keys and this is when the horrors started! Grant Properties know NOTHING about their properties, the electric meter was broken which was finally fixed 3 months down the line, even better the gas meter was pay point after all! I had no hot water for a long time, they were useless even worse we were told if we wanted a normal gas meter we would have to pay for it to be changed! We're paying 615pcm for a 2 bed place. Secondly they have no ability to do any job properly. We moved in July and in December they are STILL getting the direct debit WRONG. It is in double figures the amount of time we have given them the details of the account we want the rent taken from which they still fail to do, my flatmates account went into debt because of there stupidity, even better we got a snotty email from them stating we hadn't paid and we needed it paid in less than a week. There was over the amount the rent is in the account we have given the details for multiple times?! They have put it down to the bank stating it's because it's an RBS account, and said we will get an email providing us with the link to pay it. We did this with plenty of time yet the day before surprise surprise still no email. I phoned them as asked for it said they are emailing there and then. The next day - the due date - still no beeping email!!! I phoned them yet again for the link, for them to tell me they had sent it - more pack of lies - but also we could have found the link online, not thinking students can't afford £615 to just dissapear!!
More issues with Grant Property have been boiler leaking, washing machine broken, still having troubles with Scottish Power, sofas we were told were to be cleaned BEFORE we got the keys have only just been cleaned because again we have had to nag and nag, no communal light in the stairway leading us to not see our door at all which still hasn't been resolved while windows remain smashed with glass everywhere, and to top it all off mould. EVERYWHERE. It's destroyed clothing, pillows, and freshly painted walls that we painted with the mould resistant stuff which I doubt will hardly be resolved. We have spent too much money on dehumidifiers but it's not enough, even a guy came round and said it's serious! I now also have bad health issue and often have to miss classes because of it!

So to sum up Grant Properties, who provide false information, fail to provide any survice, and rent properties out to students where they are not deemed safe by living standards. Even better we had to get the landlord involved as our requests were being ignored, to discover he is in the dark on his OWN PROPERTY. They tell him nothing and do nothing yet still charge him for the 0 serivce they are providing. They don't look after their buildings or their customers, never again are we choosing Grant Properties again not even for buying.

Dodge this company, for everything. You will experience nothing but stress and frustration.
What agent could do to change your mind?
The best thing Grant Properties could do is get a whole new management who know what there doing

Since moving into our Nottingham property 3 weeks ago we have heard absolutely nothing from our landlord/sandstone or grant property and they have been absolutely awful. We have tried numerous times to contact them and raise serious issues we have experienced with our property (unsafe fencing outside, stains, damp, completely broken dishwasher and tap and faulty kitchen floor with gaps allowing slugs in) yet have been repeatedly ignored.
