Worst 'letting agency ' I had to deal with, I agree with all the reviews I read in here.
Following my Odyssey.

The first room

A guy moved from this room and was try to subletting it for his last month of contract to not loose money, so I agreed to take it over and we went together to the agency to explain this change of tenancy during the previous tenant's contract and making my first payment with them.
They explained me that I could have stayed in that house just for the aforementioned month as the council was obliging them to put a max of 2 ppl or a couple and 1 person inside the flat (we were 3 individuals). Because I was in a rush of find a room I accepted.

The flat
During my first month in the first flat nothing went wrong,apart from the fact that the house was freezing even with the heather on ,but I guess is a construction mistake.

Then we were in 2 and so silly to decide to move in another flat very close to it with the same agency.
We didn't spot anything wrong at the beginning,then for 6 months our stay in that flat was a nightmare.

Apart from the construction issues that we didn't like (windows that cannot be kept open without a pencil stick between glass and frame) here some events and how the agency behaved :

- after a couple of first weeks we got huge rats around the house,that were shitting everywhere and literally eating the carpet . They were coming from behind the toilet.Agency answer: they sent me some apologetic emails and that's all.

-heater in my room (and often the corridor one as well) didn't work for over 3 months, after a bunch of email between both of us and the agency we had to go at the office without appointment were I had literally to tell them that I was going to denounce the agency (I wish I did ) and I got a technician that same day.
The guy said he needed to get a part so was coming back in few days. That didn't happen, we obtain his number from agency but he told me he was not working anymore with them. I referred that to the agency and they told me they didn't know him (we were always corresponding with just 2 ppl from office that knew all our issues) and they were going to get another one.
The new guy brought a new heater that surprisingly was to replace the only working heather of the flat that was in the living room. Then we showed him the problem, he said he need a part as the guy before and wanted to come back; he also noticed that we had rat issues and he was surprised the landlord or the agency didn't help us at all. He told me he knew the landlord and he was going to tell him. This guy never showed up again and agency told us was not working anymore with them.
The third guy 'fixed' the heather which basically was turning up usually at a completely useless time for me : 10 o clock in the morning till 14 pm because the main timer watch was old and not working and apparently impossible to repair. So I was still freezing during night (I started to sleep with two pigiama and two duvets as the temperature was like sleep on the street as also window were terrible), I had the cold for over a month and also I burnt myself a leg (still have the scar after 9 months) cuz the heather was far too hot . Since the first technician came in till the last one it passed a bit more than a month. between Dec and mid of January.

-in April the shower stopped to work (electric) nobody came before a week.
-same for the bathroom lights, we replaced the first two light bulbs but went broken soon (the voltage was fine etc) and we asked for a technician that never came.
-same for one of the kitchen lights not working anymore even with replacements , end as above
-during the end of our tenancy they did some viewings without advising us first.
-deposit was paid cash with a stupid receipt released from them, but we got the money back, all on my bank account.
- we had several letters for previous tenants about some payments that have not been covered, the agency ignored that once we told them.

I left that house last May thanks god. I wish I had more time,courage to spend on denouncing them to authorities as they don't deserve any money for the 'job' they pretend to do, instead of paying them always punctually.
These people earn money on ingnorance of the UK laws of immigrants as me,using patience of people.
Terrible workers and people.
Trust me, better to stay in a hostel.
What agent could do to change your mind?
do their job, but that requires ability and honesty which they absolutely ignore.

Hi Mel, I am really sorry to read of your disappointment, we never want anyone to feel like this. Even if we have several notes of interest, if somebody sends us an offer via their solicitor, we are duty bound to report this to the client. We always advise our client that if there are notes of interest, they should reject the offer and consider calling a closing date to allow everyone to offer, however a seller has every right to simply accept the offer if they feel it is at an acceptable le ...
