I regret choosing Andrews, Hastings to sell my property (they were also managing the rental).
I dealt with various members of staff and found two of them to be rude and argumentative (Olivia & Ben). The whole office are very poor at communication between each other and the customer. They don't return calls and the disorganised way they 'marketed' the flat was ridiculous.
I would strongly recommend avoiding Andrews and consider another agent in Hastings instead.
What agent could do to change your mind?
1. Returning calls. We all get busy, but failing to return calls one many occasions isn\'t acceptable.
2. there were several times when a course of action was agreed with an agent, only to find it hadn\'t been carried out or information wasn\'t communicated to the team. I would recommend when something is agreed it be carried out and the team updated.
3. You have at least two staff members who need customer service training, being argumentative with a client is unprofessional.

Review for Andrews in Hastings, East Sussex.
I can only assume the 4 star reviews on Andrews' own website are fake - AVOID ANDREWS AT ALL COSTS.
We had a year long tenancy to rent a flat through Andrews. If they ever need something from you, you will receive countless emails and telephone calls to sort out the issue; if you need something from them, you will have to fight tooth and nail to hear anything back, for many weeks or even months.
A massive issue was that our ceilings and shower lights would leak dirty brown rainwater. We took photos, videos and sent multiple emails to Andrews, only to hear back (a couple months later) that the issue was beyond our control and that it was on our heads to minimise the damage caused (and also try not to get electrocuted in the shower I suppose?!).
Our bottom oven also stopped working, and finally 3 months later the landlord came round to have a look - to everyone's surprise, Andrews had never passed on the videos, photos, etc of the leaks or any other issues to the landlord. They had kept him in the dark as much as us.
Finally at the end of the tenancy, I requested our deposit back. No response (unsurprisingly). Please note that whenever we went into the actual agency in Hastings, the person who was assigned to us (changed every few months without ever notifying us) would always seem to be out, or have the day off, or be too busy.
Emailed again, no response. Emailed with a formal letter (template from Shelter) basically threatening to take them to court if they continued to ignore us, heard back from them 15 minutes later.
They then sent an inspector and cleaning company to view the flat, sent awful quality photos saying we had left it in a disgusting condition and that cleaning costs (to clean the stains and damage caused by the leaking ceilings!!) would cost us £400, basically all of our deposit.
Contacted the landlord, who agreed that Andrews were unreasonable and gave us all our money back.
Andrews is a disgusting service who have no intention of providing help or even just simply TALKING to their customers. They do not care about your safety in your home, you are money to them, that's it.
I feel so sorry for anyone who continues to use Andrews, and we are ecstatic that we are no longer with them - and that our old landlord has also cut them off and moved to a different agency!

Provided an enthusiastic and confident appraisal of my flat. That and the nice visible centrally located premises and optimistic approach to the instruction were the main reasons for my choice of agent. A good offer was achieved within three weeks during a normally slow time of year. Professional at all times with very good communication. My only criticism was that the solicitor (Atwells) that (I believe) they recommended to the buyer was painfully slow.

We were please the agents found the tenant quickly, but other issues have led me to be wary of using them again or recommending Andrews. I feel the agents were not clear or honest with me or my tenant.
As a new landlord I asked all the costs involved. I was simply told 2 weeks rent and 8% of the rent if I wanted management. When I got the papers, it turned out it is a months rent if not managed. The management fee also went up to 10%. Also a Gas certificate and EPC would be required (and hugely inflated cost), and other things 'highly recommended'. The costs had tripled from my initial inquiry, by which time it was too late to do anything about it. When I got the bill VAT had been added on top of the fee which was not mentioned on the printed agreement. Whilst the costs are probably fair and inline with other agents, they were all concealed until the agreement and then bill arrived, a week or so before the tenant was due to move in.
Some furniture/white goods had been left in the property, which we told the agent we would move out, however the agent told the tenant that they would be left and so they were disappointed when they arrived to find them gone, as they did not have their own.
Numerous emails to the agents were not replied to.
If you are to use this or any agent I would recommend you get all the costs in writing and photocopy and documents you sign prior to returning them to the agents, particularly if any part is hand written and could be amended afterwards.
