1. Did not get property details to us until cooling off period finished
2. Photos so awful they had to be re done. Then offered professional photos for third attempt (done by a freelance solar panel man - they were even worse. Then published thesis without our consent)
3. Written details so bad we had to rewrite them ourselves
4. gave themselves two days from published paperwork to arrange open house - we queried this but were told it was fine - no one turned up.
5. Second open house no better - we checked our security camera - only one attendee who we understand had a budget of £50k less than the asking price.
6. A prospective buyer who visited twice (over 2.5 hours) no feed back
7. Promise of local newspaper coverage for our property to compensate for poor service - nothing happened.
8. Letter of apology sent to us for poor service - no postage , we had to pay £1.54 to find out what letter was awaiting us at post office. WHB then dumped £2 and a compliment slip in the porch and slunk off without even bothering to knock.
9. Sent email giving notice to cancel contract at end of term (both to branch and specified department) - not acknowledged - so copy sent to another branch to acknowledge.
10. Told WHB that we could not do viewings in a particular week as we had a wedding and various guests that week - they rang for an appointment. When reminded about the wedding we were told they knew that as it was in the diary; were told they could do a viewing the following week. However there was a further phone call the next day when they suggested they could let themselves in and show the property themselves.
11. Email sent several days after the end of the contract asking them to remove our property from the website and pick up their sign; no response or acknowledgement so a phone call was made.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Allowed us the opportunity to view details in time to exercise our rights of cooling off - not send late (and that only following phone calls requesting sight of details)
