I have rented properties through a variety of agents and this company by far has to be the poorest that I have ever dealt with. I had rented the property for just under a year and big problems recorded at check in (why on earth the property was deemed ready to move into I don't know) took months to resolve. After much chasing, one property manager took ownership and resolved those issues immediately but he moved on and by the end of the short tenancy had had 4 different 'managers'. I was an excellent tenant, very patient, and there was no reason, other than laziness, or poor customer service, to be treated this way. Upon applying for a property they are quick enough to get money and would no doubt chase if the rent was a day late, but any efforts to afford the same courtesy were minimal and I spent a lot of my valuable time chasing them for progress on outstanding repairs. On check out the process was long and protracted and took 3 months to resolve outstanding queries. There is still one but I've quite frankly given up. As a tenant I would never use this company again. If I were landlord I wouldn't put register any of my property with this company.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Better staff training and drive a culture of accountability. A small gesture goes a long way.

Me and My Partner were first time buyers and had been going through London and Country to arrange our mortgage. After 3 weeks of not getting anywhere we were passed the details of Andrews in house Broker called Allan Gibson.
Allan from the start was very informative, polite, straight forward and positive on what he could do. The next day he had provided an AIP (Agreement in Principle) showing the amount we could borrow.
He then took all the documentation and details needed in one sitting talking us through the process we were partaking (This was no mean feat with 3 children in the room under the age of 3, he even provided them with toys).
After the meeting he submitted the mortgage application and within a week the valuation was completed and the mortgage offer issued.
We cant thank Allan enough for the service provided especially after the stressful time we had previously with London & Country. It is true what they say you get what you pay for...... Best £450.00 spent.
I would recommend Alan to anyone looking to buy a house or remortgage. We will certainly be staying with him.

Fees in general should not be used in my personal opinion as at an already stressful time, financially and personally, referencing fees add to this. Letting agents should make their income from the landlords once a tenant is successfully placed. For this cost to blatantly fall on the prospective tenant is unfair when they are already paying the landlord high costs to rent their property on a monthly basis

Chose the tenant finding and rent payment option only, and the fees are reasonable for the ongoing payments. The upfront fees were pretty much industry standard and taken from the first month's rent, which was a bit of ouch, but to be expected.

Very good at finding a new tenant. Their admin thereafter is atrocious. Even though I used them to find me a tenant for me to manage thereafter, they constantly spooked the tenants by suggesting they review the lease, asked for payments for setting up the lease etc etc etc Administratively... What agent could do to change your mind?
Substantially more expensive than other agents operating in Bristol, but we were doing this for the first time, liked Karen, and this office operated in the right geographical area for our property. We may well negotiate fees next time!

I'm a first time landlord but using Andrews has made the process far less daunting than I was expecting. Tenants were found very quickly and we were kept informed of what was going on thanks to Zoe and Marie in the office. I have decided to go for fully managed which i think is very reasonable in terms of them managing the property. I would definitely recommend Andrews for letting Management.

The service I have received from Stuart and Caroline with regard to the renting out of my mother's flat has been first class. As a result, instructed Andrews to act on our behalf to find Tenants, they turned prospective tenant list round very quickly, within a week, we had instructed, advertised, showed prospects around, and got the vetted. Visit's and follow-up activity has been via Zoe, who again has been great. Super-efficient, pleasure to do business with.
As a 'double act', I'd very much recommend them both, and Andrews to prospective landlords.

Andrews aren't just interested in new clients who they then forget about - they look after their existing clients well. We have been tenants with Andrews for just over 3 years. A sudden change in our landlord's circumstances meant they were unable to roll over our tenancy for a further year. We didn't want to move far as we like the area & our daughter is settled at a very good school. There is a dearth of rental accommodation in our price bracket in Keynsham so when a property just down the road came up I rang Andrews immediately. Caroline contacted the landlord straight away, explained our circumstances & that we were existing clients and we ended up taking the place later that night! We then had an issue re termination date at existing property but again Andrews contacted our landlord on our behalf & negotiated an early release. Fantastic service! Thanks to Caroline, Stuart & the team.
