Avoid! Wish I could give 0 starts. Properties are unsafe and unclean. Have been trying to get these issues sorted out but they never respond.

WORST AGENCY - AVOID
Rented a room with Multi Let & once I'd moved in I found out there was a hole in the roof of the house and every time it rained water came into my room making it damp and mouldy.
After telling Multi Let about this they took weeks to get someone to fix the roof (even though there was water coming down my room walls). The contractors Multi Let sent didn't fix the roof properly so it was still not watertight. I contacted Multi immediately telling them this and despite chasing them for 2 months they refused to send someone else out to fix it and said that they apparently couldn't get in contact with the Landlord so couldn't get approval for the repairs - conveniently when I was forced to open a formal complaint with the council about it they got in contact with the landlord straight away.
They ended up fixing the roof 2 weeks before I moved out after I had been at the property for 6 months in a damp and mouldy room that made me ill. Throughout this time they were extremely unprofessional and tried to blame the damp on me saying it was from drying washing when the water was clearly coming through the ceiling and walls from outside of the house.
Don't rent any room from Multi Let, they will say anything to get you to sign a contract and once you have they leave you to deal with the issues in your house/room.

As a landlord using multi-let they have been an appalling agent.
My tenant has also written a review on this site - wish I had seen it earlier.
Never answer emails, no new tenants acquired in over a year.
All they do is take their fees - don't think they have ever even visited the house.

They don't fix problems, leave properties unsecure and tenants at risk, and don't even answer their emergency number. AVOID!
I've rented a lot of places as a student and over placements, however this company blows my mind as to the substandard practices and completely inadequate customer service offered.
Nothing is fixed, the properties are left to rot.

A really terrible agency. They trap you in a contract and then don't let you leave until you pay them a lot of money. A really scam agency. A really terrible agency. They trap you in a contract and then don't let you leave until you pay them a lot of money. A really scam agency. The heating was included in my rent, but I had no heating in the winter and when you complain, they just blame it on the landlord or on British gas. Really terrible and unprofessional. They breach contracts, let you sign illegal contracts and try to get away with it. I hope that whoever is going to rent from them will read this review. The heating and electricity bills are not being paid on time so me and my housemates come home sometimes and there is no electricity. The heating has been off many times during the weekends. I paid for the bills one time (same day that I had paid rent to the agency) when I got home as it was after working hours of the agency. Three months later, my money has not been returned even though they have promised that they are going to pay me back promptly. They sent me a screenshot that they had paid the amount to my account. The account number and the sort code was wrong. I mentioned this to them and referred to the email that I had sent them where my account number and sort code was correct and they have not gotten back to me since then. That was more than 2 months ago. There is a problem now with the water bills and the council tax. We even got a removal notice that they will start taking goods from the house, but the agency doesn't care. I have complained that there was mould in my room when I moved in for more than a month now and the agency doesn't care about that. I have tried numerous times to terminate my contract and they have told me now that if I would like to terminate my contract (even if there is mould in the room, which is likely due to the fact that the house was standing with no heating for 4 months before I moved in), I'll need to pay for every month that they are looking for a new tenant plus a fee charge when they find a new tenant. I have contacted several organisations and schemes to take more legal action. I hope that the agency will shut down as they are not fit to let properties. I could write more horrible things, but I think that I might reach the word limit in this text box. Bottom line: AVOID THEM!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
