I can guarantee you, every single review on here has a high degree of truth and accuracy.
I rented a new build apartment through Midas property management in Blackburn between late 2018 and mid 2019 and it was easily the most dire rental experience i have ever had. Bearing in mind i have lived in 6 different rental properties across 5 different UK cities.
When i moved into the apartment, it was filthy and the toilet had faecal stains on the inner rim from the contractors. I told Midas and they did not apologise for this or organise a clean.
The front door of the building was insecure and frequently had intruders and homeless roaming around inside. I spent countless nights listening to screaming in the hallways. Midas did nothing to change this.
Midas promised that the un-lit building car park with no gate would be built up and made safe within a month after moving in. To this day, the car park is still unfinished and unsafe when parking up at night.
Finally, the apartment had a cheap electronic lock on the door which malfunctioned 4 months in. I then had to waste a whole weekend hastily arranging two separate locksmith call-outs which set me back 330 pounds. Instead of admitting fault and reimbursing me, Midas' ex-employee Tom Derrett made empty accusations that it was my fault because i was drunk... In the end, after a 6 month property ombudsman case, i had to foot the bill myself and was given a 'sorry, not sorry' payment of 50 pounds.
I also didn't get my 600 pounds deposit back until 5 months after moving out because of the lock dispute and extra-deductions were made with no consent or explanation of why.
I am going to make sure this gets posted on every single review website to stop others from making the same mistake as me. I implore Midas/CRPM top management to get in touch with me so the underlying organisational issues can be resolved.
In conclusion, if you want to be treated like vermin, potentially lose nearly half a grand in repairs and incur unnecessary deposit deductions, rent with Midas Lettings :) It will be an experience, i promise you

I can honestly say from beginning to end of my rental experience with Midas Lettings, I assume to be their associated companies WLPM and Forces Homes - I am amazed at the sheer absence of any kind of customer service!
They take unprofessionalism to a whole new level!
Fees are absolutely extortionate! £435 for an impersonal, unprompt initial application on a rental property of £650 per month) they then tried to charge a further £100 after 7 months, then a check out fee of £115 for a guy half way down the country to drive to pick the keys up...... absolutely ridiculous and unwarranted.
I had to repeatedly chase them as they do not respond to emails, phone calls randomly if at all from both myself as the tenant and from the landlord.
Essential maintenance was agreed directly with the landlord as the rental agent did not act at all.
I would strongly recommend to avoid this company as a tenant or landlord.

I really dont have any kind words for this company.. We've moved into a property and it wasn't cleaned yet they said it will be clean by the moving in date.. We told them about it and they still insisted that it was clean.. the kitchen cupboards are falling apart, again we have reported this and no action has been taken.. We try and contact them daily but they always lie and give excuses.. The staff are rude, they talk as if they are talking to 3 years olds.. Specifically a lady called Julie.. the woman dont have customer service skills at all she is the definition of rude...

I am currently renting a property with midas and it has been such a shambles i decided to end my contract with them. It is not so much what they have done is wrong, more what they do not do. Any problems we have encountered has been ignored despite repeated requests (countless emails and phone calls). Since they seem to go on the attack on this website for anyone who complains (very childish by the way....which supports my original theory that the quality of staff is rather low), i will not list my complaints here, especially as i have not got my deposit yet.

I lived in one of their property's for a year and 10 months. From day one we had nothing but problems with the company. We had a green mould problem in the bedroom from day 1. Phoned the company about the problem and the fact it was harming myself and my wife...nothing got done about it..blamed us and the way we live.... We kept waking up out of breathe to the point we had to go to the out of hours doctors.We had a text message on our wedding day about rent when the company knew it was our special day as we gave them a lot of notice.It took 31 days for a new fridge freezer to come. In the end I had to phone and threat them they were breaking the tenancy agreement.When the fridge finally came,it was damaged.I have been called an inbred by one of the directors of the company. Due to the mould problem in the bedroom,myself,my wife and our new born child had to sleep,eat and drink in the main room.We started to paint the place up to move out and a week before our notice to quit came the company then decided to not keep the notice to quit to save them money and told us it would cost them £800 to get us out when in fact it costs only £200.They gave us the notice to quit after we told them we wanted to move out due to our child being born and the place was to small.Later on i found out the company was told to give us a notice to quit after we complained about the mould problem a year before,so they were sat on rent whilst myself and my wife was waking up out of breathe for a whole year.The way the company speaks to their customers is unbelievable. DO NOT USE THEM..."WE WERE" TRAPPED, SPOKEN TO LIKE DIRT AND THEY FOUND WAYS TO TAKE OUR DEPOSIT BOND.!!!!

What agent could do to change your mind?
Midas Property management could have completed all repairs to comply with the law of the land.They could have also issued me with a section 21 to comply with the law of the land instead they carried out an illegal eviction.

I rented a property via Midas property Management Ltd and i was the worst experience of my life.I have never dealt with such a corrupt and roughness company in all my years of renting in the private housing sector.My property had damp,the roof leaked and the toilet did not flush.After many calls to midas about these repairs they did not take any action.I contacted environment health and they sent someone out to take some photos and make a report.During the EHP visit they informed me that in December 2013 Midas property Management were prosecuted for a whooping 52 offences of the 2004 and 2007 housings acts because of the condition of another property in the same area.Two weeks later after Midas received a copy of the report Mr Doherty turned up with some heavies and threw all my belongings onto the street and changed the locks on the property I rented and at the time I had nowhere to go!.

As a landlord I thought Midas would be a good company to use to let my property, Not So! A member of the family rented a house from Midas Property Management and I have to say they treated this person like one of thous rogue agencies you her about on the news and in newspapers. There was no hot water working,there was no heating working,toilets did not flush,electric shower did not work.The owner for Midas Mr Dotherty seemed to like to try it on with his tenants and if he could not get what he wanted he would start to threaten them with eviction. This is not an agency people should use.

I was a Midas tenant for about five months and from day one I could not wait to move on.The house was part of a block of five houses owned by the same landlord.There were three toilets in the house and not one flushed,not a single electric heater worked,there was a strong smell of blocked drains around the outside of the building.The walls were paper thin and you could hear every noise from the other houses each side.On Christmas morning the built in kitchen oven caught fire and burnt out,not a singe repair was done and after many calls to Midas I give up and found somewhere else to live.My new landlord was so sorry for me and what I had gone through she waived the deposit and the first months rent in advance.The street itself was full of young kids causing damage to cars and there were a number of times were police had been called to houses facing because of drunken violence,there was also two drug related stabbing in the street .These homes are a block of five private homes in the middle of a council estate.The site they are built of was a pub which was burnt down.

i lived in a house rented off midas property i have recently left the house as the state of it was unacceptable not only to me but my 3 year old daughter to start off with i kept hearing a loud bang coming from the front wall inside my house under the front living room window i called midas and they said they wud ring back this went on for week until finally they sent an electritian to my house who used a lecky tester on my wall an sed it was fine in the follwing week the bang carried on so i took the wall paper off wer the bang was coming from and the plaster has turned black and fell off the banging subsided but ther was a sizziling noise coming from rthe wall i was terrified so called my dad round who knocked a hole in the wall wer he found a large black cable running along the inside of the wall with blue sparks running along the outside of the wall my dad used a pair of pilers an cut the wire to make it safe for me an my daughter and it made a loud bang an threw him back off his feet the nxt day midas sent some body to fix it ther was a joist wrapped with insulation tape in the wall an the wall its self was full of damp this was 2 years ago an it took them 6 months to come an plaster the big hole it left an left wires stickin out the wall so i had to cover them wiv a bin bag so my daughter didnt touch them. secondly about a year ago i had spot lights in my kitchen and bathroom tht wudnt work so i called them again and it took 3 months before they sent somebody out and the electriton they sent out was disgusted and told me i was very lucky my house hadnt gone on fire as the sop lights wer in a plastic celing an wer to close to the insulation ther wasnt any room for the wiring so they wer all tangled together an some of the lights didnt have transformer packs on as he removes some old transformer boxes they crumbled in his hand an the wire was burned threw so he left the lights hanging down and went away he didnt come back wen i rang midas they kept saying we will ring mr tom england who was the landlord of the house and it went on for a bout 5 weeks in the end i rang sefton council who put me intouch wiv health an safty who was disgusted at the state of the house and served my landlord a notice to get the work done the work finally got done an they put normal lights an plater bored over the plastic celing but neva came back to plaster it so i had a white plaster bored ceiling with black screws holding it up all the lecky faults i had in the house and my lecky didnt trip once because the trip switch was broken the health and safty suggested a rewire of the house but landlord insisted it didnt need one. about a 8 weeks ago my daughter went to open the door to her nan an slipped on water tht was leaking threw the front door i rang midas 4 times an they neva got bk intouch with me the front bedromm them developed black mould an damp from the bad gutters an once again i rang an once again i got fobed off ther was an oven already in the property a built in one and it broke my landlord sed he didnt have to fix it coz he didnt have to put it in so i had to pay out to get tht fixed even tho it was no fault of mine i have took pictures and also have a copy of the health and safty report i rang midas tht many times i knew who was on the phone jst by ther voices iam now in a better house wiv a lovely landlord who will do anything tht needs doing i wud not recomend these people as they take no care for ther tenents or ther tenets children
