What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should have made it clear that there were other people being considered. The only process I have ever experienced is that you make an offer and then negotiate with the landlord and during that time there is nobody else being considered. I know I have excellent credit, a new job but I'm senior to the industry, I have never had a problem with a landlord, I have great references. My income exceeds the requirements. I really don't have reason to believe this would happen. It really was a gutting experience. It was very unprofessional to suddenly have another agent leave a message that the flat had gone to someone else and to pitch one of his properties. Sharon should have explained, and Tim should have at minimum taken two breaths to verify our requirements before singing his sales pitch which only made the situation more infuriating.
