 BenT on 19th Dec 20221 Star Review I never received my security deposit back after my AST agreement ended. The agent said landlord has it and the landlord told me the agent has it. The agent was handed the monies and never provided any deposit certificate. I wrote a letter and complained but never received a response. I went to The Property Ombudsman (TPO) and they advised that Irwin Fisher are not a member of The Property Ombudsman (TPO) and never have been a member so can't look into the complaint. This is interesting as on Irwin Fishers website they claim they are TPO members and using their logo. If you have any issues with Irwin Fisher, The Property Ombudsman will not look into your complaint as Irwin Fisher are not TPO members.

jbarretta on 23rd Dec 20201 Star Review I have not had a good experience with this estate agent. I paid a security deposit and at the end of my AST agreement the agent refused to give back my £1250 deposit claiming that the landlord has it when in fact the owner Ravi took the money and advised us that he would put the funds in a government back deposit scheme. He never provided us with the certificate of proof and kept procrastinating each time when we asked him for an update during the course of the AST contract. I put in a complaint in writing to Irwin Fisher and I never received a response but the landlord told me at a later date that she had received an email from Ravi Leal that he will not deal with tenant’s complaint and had ripped up in pieces the letter of complaint from myself and put inside a bin. I took the case to small claims court and I was awarded a judgement in my favour. I do not recommend this agent. I would strongly recommend having everything in writing when dealing with this agent signed and dated in case you need the evidence in court at a later date should it be required.

I on 25th Nov 20195 Star Review We had our property on the market with another Agent for two months, with no luck, we moved to Irwin Fisher and within 24 hours we had our first open house booked for the forthcoming weekend. The property was sold on the open house. We have no hesitation in recommending Irwin Fisher. They are brilliant. They were realistic and their selling fees were fair.

Lee on 20th Nov 20191 Star Review I had served notice to our tenant and then established that the tenant was working at a hotel as a cleaner rather than in a bank as a Consultant which is what the agent advised us at the beginning. The property was fully managed by the agent so this only came to light recently. The issue we have is that the tenant is on universal credit and when on DSS most agents do not want the tenant so we are now forced to serve eviction notice on the tenant which isn't something that I rather want to do. Equally the tenant can't easily seek council housing due to long waiting list and it's just a shame that this agent let us down by misleading us and unfair on the tenant for them to be in this position. The tenant also advised us that they never supplied any references to the agent at the beginning and that they were referred directly by one of the agents other landlords who recommended this tenant to the agent. This is in contrary to what Ravi Leal informed us at the beginning that he received satisfactory references from the tenants previous landlord but the tenant has advised us that they came from Poland only a few years back and had never rented in the UK prior to coming to us. The whole thing is so difficult for us to take in at the moment and the amount of stress that this has created for us at this time of the year before Xmas is really something that I could do without and also the tenants.

Sian on 12th Aug 20191 Star Review I used this agency to try and sell my property. Agent advised it is worth £260,000. Some viewers were arranged and Ravi Leal emailed me to say somone offered £260k. This was ok with me but the buyer was never forthcoming. My solicitor advised that the estate agent has not handed over memorandum of sale. I kept chasing Ravi, different excuses each time and even cited that the buyer is fasting (for religious purposes) so things are moving very slow. Six weeks gone and still no update. I decided to part ways with this agent as I had enough, he immediately called my purchase estate agent and told them the sale has failed. A week later he then called and assured me he has an investor willing to pay 100% cash on my property and I gave this agent one last chance. Guess what, he never turned up for the time scheduled and agreed instead Ravi sent someone else for viewing at the property who appeared to be a family with children and speak very little english. I don't think I can trust this agent ever again.

We recently bought a property through Irwin Fisher and were highly impressed with the service they offered. Ravi and Allan kept in regular contact with us and supported us through the process. They were professional, personable and helpful at each stage of the buying process and I wished I had used them to sell our property. Even during the final 'stressful stage' of exchanging and completing Ravi and Allan remained calm and reassured us by being proactive and continually keeping us informed. I cannot recommend Allan and all at Irwin Fisher highly enough. I had quite a few other agents round to value the property and to show me properties before i chose Irwin Fisher. They were freindlybut professional and not pushy, unblike other local agents. They had my house on their website and right move quickly and i had a lot of viewings and offers. They gave helpful adive on who seemed serious etc. The process was very smooth and this was laregly due ot them. Brilliant, local company.

I came to these agents after having had a very poor experience from another local firm.
I was very impressed with Alan Seager and every member of his team that I can across. Throughout what transpired to be a difficult and protracted sale (we were let down by several buyers) the team were all helpful, professional, courteous and genuinely committed in helping us achieve a sale.
In particular I found Allan to be genuine. He acted with integrity throughout, kept me informed of developments and was helpful in providing honest, straight forward advice when I needed it. I felt that we had a very safe paid of hands guiding us.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm.

Marketing:
Initially they were very helpful - I met with Ravi who valued the property and provided some very helpful advice and was very good at managing my expectations.
After this point they went quiet, the photos on right move did not show the property in the best light and the description was not accurate and didnt sell the best features (garden etc) - after providing an alternative description and photos we got lots of interest and Allan/Ravi were incredibly helpful.
Post acceptance:
Overall I would rate their service as Okay - they dealt with the process completely independently, dealing with both solicitors, however they were very slow to respond. This would be more acceptable if my expectations of this part of the process were managed more effectively and I knew what was going to happen.
To summarise:
Both Allan and Ravi are very pleasant, knowledgeable professionals and in hindsight I know that they were in complete control of the sale, however my feeling is that possibly due to them being overworked their service lacked the finishing touches that would have made me rate them excellent.

I can't believe some of the ridiculous comments left by other homeowners on the Irwin Fisher page. Im a seasoned landlord and property owner, and what i want in my agent, Irwin fisher has got that in abundance. I can't believe some of the ridiculous comments left by other homeowners on the Irwin Fisher page. Im a seasoned landlord and property owner, and what i want in my agent, Irwin fisher has got that in abundance. Can't speak highly enough of Ravi, I should have dealt with the agency time ago rather than running around baseless cooperates, who are all words but no action. I will definitely be recommending this agency to the vast pool of investor & homeowners i work with in the UK and overseas who own properties in East London.

I used Irwin Fisher to let out my flat in Barking, and I sincerely regret it. They were the cheapest, but the level of service was horrendous. They did not communicate well at all, they never did the initial inventory, though they were supposed to and I kept chasing them, they didn't do the exit ... Read Full Review

I used Irwin Fisher to let out my flat in Barking, and I sincerely regret it. They were the cheapest, but the level of service was horrendous. They did not communicate well at all, they never did the initial inventory, though they were supposed to and I kept chasing them, they didn't do the exit checkout properly including failing to check the electric metres, they never chased up the tenant when rent wasn't paid. They didn't get the correct signatures from the tenant for the contracts, I had to chase them constantly when rent was missing -- they didn't even seem to be aware of it. In short, it was very stressful dealing with them, which negates the purpose of paying for a full management service.

Irwin Fisher took over my property portfolio recently after I was let down and given poor service by another local estate agent, but I must say the transition was soo smooth, professional and straight forward, and I regret why I never used them before. I will definitely recommend other investors or landlords to give them a go. If you want a personal service, and none of this cooperate jargon, Irwin Fisher is the one to go for.
