About Samantha
Hi there,
I joined Hotblack Desiato’s property management team a year ago and I received a warm and friendly welcome from everybody. Originally from up north I have lived in London for almost 20 years. I enjoy being a property manager – it keeps me on my toes as no day is the same. I am a ‘people person’ and
I naturally go above and beyond to meet the needs and requirements of clients and tenants. In my spare time I enjoy chilling and spending time with my family near Birmingham, they do great fish and chips up there! I also enjoy travelling, reading, cooking and studying historic pictures. Don’t laugh but I also collect old dictionaries – I love words.

Jessica was very nice and assisted with every request in a punctual and direct manner. Samantha has so far been responsive. They only constructive comments are that the windows were quite dirty, and that the lightbulbs etc should have been fixed. ... Read Full Review

Overall the experience of Hotblack Desiato generally has also been positive. Think the web presence and marketing is strong; we were right on your website after viewing this current apartment. Side note: Had an interesting time trying to convince the bank that 'Hotblack' is a legitimate name while trying to get the deposit across to you to lock in the contract!
Two areas for improvement: 1) We were presented with an offer for the lease of this property verbally and then via email -- but then told just a few hours later that another offer was suddenly on the table from another potential tenant (truly?) and we needed to reassess our current offer. Fair enough if it means more rent for the landlord overall, but not great for building trusted relationships with clients. We were a bit thrown by this particularly when we'd already received the official offer. 2) As per the lease agreement we expected to move into an apartment that had undergone a professional clean, however this was not the case and we moved into an apartment that was still unclean in many areas.
