About Jake
Born in Canonbury in 1971, I had the pleasure of going to Canonbury school. 26 years later my children followed in my footsteps. When my first child went there I was shocked at how small the hall was and how little the climbing frames were. My primary love (after my wife and four children) is skiing and I spent 6
years as a ski instructor in the French Alps and travelling the world. However, a broken back cut that career short. I started in estate agency in 1995, joining Hotblack Desiato in 1998 with partnership following in 2003. I ski as often as having 4 children allows me and I have a passion for architecture/ design and sailing.

They priced our flat right (ambitious but not greedy), brought in all the right people (serious and ready to buy) and helped us to find the perfect buyer at asking price in the first week (alongside other good offers). The Hot Black Highbury team was fantastic. They priced our flat right (ambitious but not greedy), brought in all the right people (serious and ready to buy) and helped us to find the perfect buyer at asking price in the first week (alongside other good offers). But best of all was the stewarding and support between offer and completion where they built up trust and confidence for both myself and the buyer even when things inevitably took time. My thanks in particular to Hiten and Jake for this. i couldn't recommend Hot Black more.

Hotblack Desiato are Islington's estate agent - they've been in the borough for years and therefore know it off by heart. Not only that, they aren't as pushy as some agents. We initially dealt with Jake Perkins who was 100% accurate when he predicted the type of person who would buy our flat. We ... Read Full Review

Hotblack Desiato are Islington's estate agent - they've been in the borough for years and therefore know it off by heart. Not only that, they aren't as pushy as some agents. We initially dealt with Jake Perkins who was 100% accurate when he predicted the type of person who would buy our flat. We then dealt with sales manager Stuart Shiers who is a nice guy and very calm (which is more than I was!). Hope they don't mind me saying this, but they seem a little bit older than some other estate agents. I found this reassuring.
