I did not receive any contact after viewings despite asking for feedback. My house was not properly shown to potential buyers as the agents conducting the viewings had never visited the property and one buyer was told to hurry up with a viewing while the agent stood at the doorway. Another viewing was undertaken by a person i was not expecting, who took photographs of my home without my consent. No financial verification was conducted on the buyer before an offer was passed on to me. The positive reviews on this site are not an accurate reflection of my experience of this estate agent. Disgraceful, avoid at all costs!

After Dan Bryant signed me as a client, I felt lost. At each showing, there was a different agent, some didn't know the first thing about my property, this got frustrating , and I don't remember being told this is how things would be done.
Pre-qualifying people before viewing is challenging. My home needed to be a cash sale, due to its leasehold restrictions. As people will simply lie just to spend an afternoon viewing a property they have no intention of buying. May I recommend asking for a proof of funds statement, which would save people's time and effort both at the agency and the property owner.
Jane Wearing, their back office genius, was patient and attentive to the details of preparing the internet listing, brochures and a unique property information sheet, left at the property for passers-by to take, getting the exposure to locals and visitors alike. I hope they make this standard going forward.
Once the buyer was found, and after rounds of getting spellings and details correct on writing up these details, by yet another different person, who showed their lack of professionalism, the transaction was then handled by my conveyance solicitor with little involvement from the estate agents.
Similar to medical care, you have to be your own advocate in a real estate transaction. Keep on the agents or they will act complacent. Your sale/purchase is a very personal thing, make sure it means enough to the agent, so they are proactive on your behalf, and communicate with you.

Like everyone else we feel Estate Agents fees (particularly when compared to Solicitors' fees) to be extraordinarily high, and quite hard to justify? However, as these things go, the client has little option but to accept them.As such we found the Mansbridge Balment fees acceptable.

From our very first meeting with Dan at "The Cottage" we were pleased with his "can do" attitude, knowledge of the local area and approachable personality. The photo's he produced of the cottage for the brochure were artistic and enchanting showing off this beautiful little Dartmoor cottage to it's best potential. Dan, Lynn and all the team were efficient and pleasant to deal with and kept us up to date with every appointment taking place and gave helpful feed back once viewing was over. As a result the property sold successfully within a month of going on the market and today we have completed. I cannot stress strongly enough what a good company this is to deal with and how helpful everyone has been - our grateful thanks to all the staff at Mansbridge Balment Yelverton Office.
