We were new to the concept of living on a houseboat but seeking just the right combination of boat, location and community. We never would have found our new home without Nigel! He was so very patient, anxious to show us many boats, including ones he told us we would not like but that it was important to see all types and locations. He was familiar with all the boats available through Riverhomes, anywhere in London. And when we found the one (which he told us in advance would be the one, as he totally understood our wishes), he arranged for us to meet other residents, and to visit several times before we made an offer. Thank you, Nigel!

What agent could do to change your mind?
Riverhomes headline rate is in my view too high. However I was offered a substantial discount which brought the fee to an acceptable level.

I am extremely sorry that it has taken me so long to get round to writing to you to give proper recognition to the extraordinary efforts you made on our behalf as we tried to sell our property.
You and your team, but I would have to say particularly you, worked your socks off with both our potential purchasers as we battled for 4 months or so, through ever changing circumstances in our attempt to complete on a sale. You always maintained an air of optimism, you were always cheerful, polite and put up with my endless stream of phone calls, and as far as you were able, kept me fully informed.
In my view you went far beyond the level of service that I might have expected, and although I realise that towards the end it became as much of a personal challenge than anything else, you persevered where I feel sure lesser mortals would have thrown in the towel, and eventually you succeeded.
Obviously we were both very disappointed with the final sale price, and I think the eventual buyer behaved with extremely low levels of morality and integrity. However, the final price was our call and unfortunately because the first purchaser was unable to complete, through no fault of her own, we were backed into a corner with no escape – we just had to sell and you found us a buyer!
I cannot thank you enough for all you did for us. I can only hope that you achieve a better ‘hourly rate' for most of your other sales than you did from us!!
From every angle it was a pleasure to deal with you and Riverhomes – thank you.

We are returning clients and this is he second property we have bought through Riverhomes. They are specialised and their deep knowledge of waterside properties are a strong advantage. We had total trust in Nigel to advice, support and guide us through what turned out to be a difficult purchase, happening under very stressful and unusual conditions. And just like the first time 3 years ago when we acquired a first property with him, this purchase was successfully concluded thanks to his communications and business skills and his unfaltering dedication. Riverhomes really work as a team and although Nigel supervised personally the whole operation, when he wasn't able to be there in person at times he always made sure were we had a pertinent contact briefed properly. He also found and briefed a solicitor who was capable of acting at the drop of a hat as time was of the essence. We have found though our experience with Riverhomes in general and Nigel Day in particular that you can count on them for going the extra mile for their clients, for understanding your brief or personal circumstances and for giving honest advice. We would recommend them without any hesitation and we certainly shall use them again when we need to sell or buy a waterside property again.
