You say things have changed in your response, but I’m currently going through a similar issue. I’ve been renting up and down the country now for almost 20 years and my experience with manning stainton is by far the worst. I was told that a black mould problem which made an entire room inhospitable was due to condensation (actually down to a faulty roof once a builder finally came to assess it when I moved out) and that flooding in the basement was to be expected.
