Just read the above comment, this is quite frankly typical cooperate agent twaddle. This is a common ploy used by this type of agent to gain the mortgage business and is not used to protect the sellers at all. As an agent, if you do your job properly and gather all the information in the first place then you will have an understanding on the prospective purchasers buying position. It iw worth pointing out the agent is within their rights to do this. ...
