The service provided by the lettings agent was first class. When suitable properties became available I was informed immediately and a convenient appointment to view the properties was arranged. The service was poor, they didnt even meet me at the property when I was moving in. They didn't provide me with information regarding the property and information they did tell me was wrong!

Some landlords are not able to provide direct contact details for example if they are living abroad. In such cicumstances the emergency contact is the letting agent. In any case the first point of contact for a tenant is always the letting agent. That is what landlords are paying for.
This tenant must have been shown the property at some time, otherwise why did he or she agree to rent it. Also how was the property accessed? The tenant must have collected the keys. Agents do not always ac ...
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
