As mentioned above the fees have gone up £50 per year, I don't want to move from this flat but if the rent continues to rise at this rate I will be forced to look for a similar property at a cheaper rate. I know that other two bedroom flats in this block have been advertised at a cheaper rate, why should you get penalised for being a good tenant and living here longer?

I had to pay costs upfront when I moved in and the deposit I was supposed to get back at the end but they stole more than half of the deposit and I'm still waiting to get the small amount they owe me.

Charged application fee x2, guarantor fee x2 (despite me working), check-in, a months rent and deposit. Fees alone (minus one months rent and 6 weeks rent as deposit) came to ‚£444. I work for an agency with ‚£0 fees for students.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Avoid extorting tenants. Respond to tenant issues and treat them like humans not just a number that pays rent. Being too obvious that all they cared about was how much money they could get from the tenant.
