I rented a flat from Newton for around 5-6 years. They were always polite and approachable, fixed things quickly when they broke, and seemed reasonable. They didn't unfairly keep increasing the rent like some letting agents do. No problems or extra charges when moving in ...

I think they changed their up-front fees policy after I moved in and no longer charge any. When I moved in, I had to pay them for credit and reference checking but I vaguely remember hearing them explaining to the new prospective tenants when they came round that they should organize it themselves and simply send it by email. The holding fee is reasonable and goes towards your deposit. Also there are no hidden charges down the line unless you are careless with the property.

we was take over from greenhome last year..we used to pay between 30-45pound factor a month.never had to call greenhome,they adjust the payment automatically..Now Newtown send us a mail we have to pay 75pounds a month..from 40to 75..they only cut grass cleaning two starways ,including building insurance 45pound per flat per year ,electricity on stairways..and changing bulbs sometime..18flat in the building if every flat pays 75a months ,that's 900a year.multiply by 18.that is 16200pound per year ...

Very reasonable agent's fees which represent good value for money, plus Newton have kept an eye on local rent increases to benchmark my property and have gradually increased monthly rent in line with market, which is appreciated.
