I do not agree with agents fees in general. In my opinion estate agents fees are not appropriate for the work involved. Tennant's do the work in terms of finding suitable properties and the fees for credit checks are ridiculous. Credit checks are available free and more detailed checks from 00.01pence per person (I actually do these as part of my job!). Therefore hundreds of pounds to view a property and change a few names in a standard tenancy agreement form will always seem unfair to me.
