Lakin & Co's fee structure was detailed to us very clearly following our initial viewing, at which time we were given a paper handout and also walked through each point. At the time we move into the property (July 2015) these fees were very competitive compared with other agents: there was a referencing fee and tenancy admin fee which were absolute amounts rather than a percentage of monthly rent which we had seen elsewhere. To secure the property we paid a non-refundable holding deposit which after referencing went towards our first months rent.
